I’m trying to upload a build to App Store Connect. During the build upload process, at the final step, I get the following error:
“Invalid Info.plist value. The value of the EXExtensionPointIdentifier key, com.apple.live-lookup, in the Info.plist of ‘Livecaller.app/Extensions/CallerIDExtension.appex’ is invalid. Please refer to the App Extension Programming Guide at https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/General/Conceptual/ExtensibilityPG/Action.html#/apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40014214-CH13-SW1.”
In my app, I am using the new Lookup Caller ID Extension feature:
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/sms_and_call_reporting/getting_up-to-date_calling_and_blocking_information_for_your_app
I cannot use any other identifier, as the extension will not work otherwise.
Am I missing something?
What do I need to do to be able to upload the build to TestFlight and submit it for review?

Do you have any idea what the problem with my iPhone 15 Plus simulator screenshot?
After successfully passing the review for version 1.0, I was consistently rejected after updating to version 1.0.1 with 4.3 (a). However, I only added some paid products to the original features, and did not make any changes to the layout or UI design. Why do you keep rejecting me.

hello,
Thank you for your message.
Regarding Guideline 4.3(a), we continue to notice that your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.
Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include:
Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store
Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template
Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party
Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts
We hope that you will make the appropriate changes to your app to bring it into compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines and resubmit your app for review.
Best regards,
Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with an ongoing issue where my simple puzzle game, built with Unity, keeps getting rejected by Apple under Guideline 2.3.1 for supposedly containing “hidden features or functionality” that could change the app’s behavior after review. They also mention the possibility of real money gambling features, which my app absolutely does not have.
Key Details:
• The game is straightforward, with no in-game currency or anything related to gambling.
• It only includes Analytics and advertisement-related SDKs for tracking and monetization.
• Despite several resubmissions and attempts to explain, I keep receiving the same generic feedback, without any specifics on what hidden features Apple is flagging.
Has anyone else experienced this?
• Could there be something in the Analytics or Ads SDK that might be causing this?
• How can I get more specific feedback from Apple, or has anyone found an effective way to escalate issues like this?
• Are there any tools or techniques to ensure there are no “hidden” features being unintentionally flagged?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as this has been a frustrating roadblock.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Our app was ready for distribution and sale over 24 hours ago. The App Store still isn’t showing update. weirdly enough because we did a force update my app the update app now to continue bottom sheet pop up but which directed me to the App Store but still nothing.
anyone else having this issue
My app failed to get listed due to imitating another app, and as a result, my developer account has been flagged for potential disablement in 30 days.
I acknowledge this fact and accept the punishment.
However, apart from the name and icon, my app itself is completely original. I have sincerely revised the name and icon of my app to make them unique and original.
My goal is to have the app listed before my account is disabled, as it's something I've been working hard on and would like to see completed.
It's been three or four days since I submitted the revised app for review, but it's still pending. I'm wondering if my app can still undergo the normal review process and get listed before my account is disabled?
I have submitted an App for review and was rejected. I did the necessary changes and submitted it again for review. It is now saying ”Waiting for Review” but the Red Rejected Exclamation Symbol is still there.
Is this normal? or should I “Cancel Submission” and resubmit it again for review?
"Specifically, your App Description and screenshot references paid features but does not inform users that a purchase is required to access this content."
My App Description (Pro 3D art app) doesn't mention that the entire app is a subscription. I didn't think I needed to because Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro don't do that either. Anyone had experience with this? Is there a double-standard or did App Review just make a mistake?
Suppose I can add some language at the end of the App Description like "All Features unlocked with subscription"
I archived and uploaded a build with Xcode 16 RC earlier today since it wasn't available in Xcode Cloud at that moment. The upload was successful. Since then, Xcode Cloud was updated with Xcode 16 RC and I can build and deploy to TestFlight and App Store Connect that way too.
Now, upon submitting my app to App Review, the binary is being rejected as invalid due to unsupported version of Xcode. Rejections Sept 9th at 11:28 PM Central and Sept 10th 12:37 AM.
Here is the error message I received via email:
ITMS-90111: Unsupported SDK or Xcode version - App submissions must use the latest Xcode and SDK Release Candidates (RC). For details on currently supported versions, visit: https://developer.apple.com/news/releases.
Upon visiting the site, you can see a developer news article stating that App Review is now accepting builds created from Xcode 16 RC. I assume this is just the system going through upgrades and the whole system isn't updated yet.
Is anyone else having issues submitting Xcode 16 RC builds to App Review? Or the inverse, has anyone had success yet?

Same issue with our app. Update contains only assets changes.
There is no simulator with iOS 17.6.1. Official xcode version 15.4 contains only iOS 17.5, where everything works fine on any device we test it.
Bug description: None of the links/buttons nor the fields of email and passwords were also not responsive
Review device details:
Device type: iPad Air (5th generation)
OS version: iOS 17.6.1
I am working on a screen time app that helps individuals shield distracting apps and web content.
Assuming one is granted the Family Controls entitlement and a user accepts the Family Controls authorization request, can you call the ManagedSettings framework from your main app? Is this framework only allowed to be used within the context of a Device Activity Monitor Extension?
I'm unsure if this type of usage will result in an instant rejection from App Review?
Hello everyone,
I’ve recently released an app on the Apple Vision Pro App Store, and I believe it could be a strong candidate for featuring. I’ve already filled out the necessary forms for getting featured a few times, but I haven’t heard back, and it’s been over a month. I don’t mean to sound overly confident, but I genuinely think my app has the potential to be featured.
If my app isn’t eligible for being featured for some reason, it would be great to know why. Additionally, if it doesn’t get chosen for featuring, is there someone specific I can contact for more information?
I’d appreciate any insights or advice on how the featuring process works or how I might be able to improve my chances.
Here is the link to my app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-simulation-archive-1147/id6639664425
Also, I have the featuring artwork ready to go, but I understand I need to get it featured first to upload it.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello
A few days ago we sent to Apple for approval the new version of our application, using the free database of Radio-Browser.info
After our App rejected for Guideline 5.2.3 - Legal we explained to him that we are exclusively partnered with Radio Browser (https://www.radio-browser.info/), which features open-source radio stations.
Please note that only radio station owners have the ability to add their stations to the Radio Browser database through the following link: https://www.radio-browser.info/add.
Is there anyone here that explain to us what Apple reviewer means with his answere?
Apple Reviewer answer:
However, to comply with guideline 5.2.3, it would be appropriate to limit your app to streaming open-source stations only. Alternatively, you may provide documentary evidence proving that you have all the necessary rights or permissions for the third-party audio streaming.
We look forward to reviewing your resubmitted app.
Thank you
We recently submitted an update to an existing app that already has an in app purchase for an annual subscription which works perfectly fine. However, the update has been rejected 5 times by Apple stating the in app purchase does not work. We have not made any changes to the update regarding the in app purchase AND the in app purchase works perfectly fine on device testing AND in flight test.
Can some one please help? Anyone know what is going on?
Hi
My app was work fine since 2023 till i uploaded new update on april 2024 i got rejected due to Guideline 4.3(a) and since that i have made a lot of changes but still getting me that.
below message what they have keep
Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
This app duplicates the content and functionality of other apps on the App Store, which is considered a form of spam.
Specifically, this app is available in the same locations as another identical app you submitted to the App Store.
Apps that duplicate content or functionality create clutter, diminish the overall experience for the end user, and reduce the ability of developers to market their apps.
Next Steps
It would be appropriate to restrict the available storefronts for these apps and ensure none of the selected storefronts overlap. Restrict storefronts by selecting "None" on Country or Region Availability in App Store Connect and then select the desired countries or regions. Learn more about restricting storefronts in App Store Connect.

Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include:
Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store
Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template
Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party
Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts.
i have add appeal and submit evidence that my app is unique but still not.
I have developed several apps out of interest, and if everyone likes my app, I plan to truly become an independent developer.
I used a name and icon similar to the existing app in the hope of gaining more app exposure.
The App Store reviewer found an issue and gave me a 'Pending Termination Notice'. My account will be deleted within 30 days.
I finally realized that this was an extremely foolish practice that undermined my integrity.
After receiving the notification, I immediately responded through the appeal channel and admitted my mistake. I have already removed my app from App Store Connect, even though it hasn't been officially launched yet.
I am determined not to make similar mistakes again and to become an excellent independent developer.
There is another question that I am quite puzzled about.
My application is considered to be:
“Evidence of Dishonest or Fraudulent Activity
App submissions from your account have engaged in concept or feature switch schemes to evade the review process, such as dynamically populating different app content after review, submitting apps with hidden features, repeatedly submitting misleading apps, and/or submitting apps with concrete references to content that you are not authorized to provide or is otherwise not appropriate for the App Store. “
I am a browser application that uses SwiftUI to write programs without using any third-party SDKs. I also did not attempt to evade the review. If the APP reviewer needs it, I can provide my source code.
As a browser application, how can I avoid similar misunderstandings in the future?
What I hope to get help with now:
Will my appeal really be seen by the review committee? When can I expect to see a reply? I refresh my emails more than ten times a day to see if there are any new messages.
Can my account still be restored? Otherwise, my developer dream would suffer a major setback. This audit has made me fully aware. The App Store is a high-quality platform, a rigorous platform, and any attempt to take shortcuts is not allowed.
If my account can really be restored, I will be so happy that I can fly up. However, how should I resubmit my browser application and provide sufficient explanation to avoid being misunderstood and evading censorship?
Thank you all for watching.
My app was rejected twice by the Apple team review, but I can't reproduce the bug...
What is surprising is that the app seems blocked at the very beginning of the first launch where network is mandatory to get data for initialization.
Apple team, is there any update or issue with your test and validation environnement ?
Also, I tried with success on my iPhone 12 mini with iOS 17.6.1, but it seems that the Xcode iOS 17.6.1 runtime is not accessible, so I 'm not able to test on the iPad with simulator...
Thanks for your help !
Hi,
we are a subscription based (Patreon-like) platform and we use Stripe to distribute the incomes to the creators. Each payment is split to 90% procent which goes to the creators account and 10% which goes to us as a platform.
We are legally not allowed to distribute the 90% and that is why we are partnered with Stripe who performs so. Stripe cares about KYC of the creators and distributes money to them.
If we were to implement Apple app payments - how could we implement such? I studied the documentation and Stripe does not support such money splitting and does not provide alternative to "Connected accounts" like in Stripe? So if I understand correctly:
We are unable to use Stripe because of Apple App terms.
We are unable to use Apple App subscriptions because Apple cannot split the payments and distribute these to the creators.
So is there a way out of this?
Thanks.
Hey everyone,
I’m in a bit of a bind and could really use some advice from the community. My team and I have developed an app that’s intended for both existing business partners and potential new partners. The idea is for current partners to access specific features while allowing new users to submit requests to become partners. Our target audience is across India, and public distribution via the App Store is crucial for our growth.
Here’s the issue: Apple has repeatedly rejected our app, stating that it’s intended for a specific business or organization and should use business app distribution instead. I’ve explained that public availability is essential for onboarding new partners, and I’ve even provided examples of similar apps that are publicly available in the App Store. Despite all this, Apple continues to reject our app.
I’m frustrated because there are other apps in the App Store with similar use cases that seem to have no trouble getting approved. I’ve tried everything—highlighting the importance of public distribution, comparing our app with existing ones—but nothing seems to work.
So, I’m turning to you all for help:
Has anyone else dealt with a similar issue? How did you get around it?
Do you know of any specific strategies or wording that might help convince Apple to approve our app?
Is there a chance we’re missing something crucial that could be causing these rejections?
I’m open to any suggestions or advice you might have. It’s been a long road, and we’re just trying to get our app out there to help businesses grow. Thanks in advance for your help!
APP Review Message:
Guideline 3.2 - Business
We still found in our review that your app is intended to be used by a specific business or organization, including partners, clients, or employees, but you've selected public distribution on the App Store in App Store Connect. Since the App Store is intended for apps with a public audience, we recommend reviewing the other distribution options available to you through your Apple Developer Program Account.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, review the other distribution options available for apps designed for specific businesses or organizations and choose a distribution option that works for your app and users. You can review these app distribution options on Apple Developer.
We recently submitted our app, for approval, but unfortunately, it has not been approved. Our team has worked diligently to incorporate innovative ideas, fresh designs, and unique features that we believe offer significant value to users. We’ve carefully followed the guidelines and ensured that all aspects of the app, including user data safety and security, meet industry standards.
Despite our efforts, we’ve encountered difficulties in getting the app approved. We would greatly appreciate your insights into the specific reasons for the denial and any areas that may require further improvement.
Any sort of help or guidance will be much appreciated.
