Dear App Review!
We are a tax software that undergoes regular iterations and is updated with new features every month. We have currently uploaded versions for review and have been in a “pending review” state for almost 2 days now. During this wait, we have taken the following actions but have been unable to get into the review process:
We requested an expedited review and were told it was successful, but no progress has been made;
Contacted "App Review Status" via email;
"Please let us know everything is fine and wait for review;
Rejected on its own, resubmit for review;
Our users have been anxiously asking us when there will be new features and they are eager to use them Apple app ID: 6744107833
Looking forward to hearing from you, thank you!

Hi all,
I’ve been working on an innovative dating app — it focuses on short videos and AI-powered recommendations, rather than static profiles/images and swipe interactions. It includes:
Short-form video feeds instead of pictures
AI-generated summaries from uploaded videos (hobbies, personality, etc.)
AI-driven feed recommendations based on user "like" behavior
Free, unlimited messaging between mutually interested users
Inclusive for all genders, non-swipe-based UI
Despite these features, the app has been repeatedly rejected under Guideline 4.3(b): Design – Spam. The review feedback refers to "duplicative functionality in a saturated category."
I’ve filed an appeal and previously raised this in the forums — where I received helpful feedback. I would love any insights, examples, or advice from others who’ve built in saturated categories while navigating this rule.
I genuinely believe the app brings something innovation and unique experience to dating app users on iPhone. And it's bringing some freshness to this saturated category. If any Apple team member is monitoring this thread, I’d greatly appreciate guidance or further clarification.
Thank you!
Dear Community,
We are facing an issue in our production App where we recently upgraded app min version from iOS 12 to iOS 17 in order to integrate a private API Entitlement. Due to upgrade, app review is rejecting the same app citing syscall presence like mentioned below :
• syscall: open_dprotected_np
• syscall: getsockname
• syscall: fork
• syscall: modwatch
They suggested using strings command and otool command to find such syscalls presence but we were not able to find any such syscall presence.
We are on Cordova platform (hybrid application) and are using Mobile First Platform (MFP8).
If anyone has faced such an issue, please help us in finding these syscalls so that we can take action on them.
Regards,
Aditya
I received an email from app_notification @apple.com about violating section 11.2 roughly 21 days ago.
There is nothing in resolution center (there doesnt seem to be a way for me to access resolution center).
I have tried ringed apple dev support but they dont know anything about it and suggested replying to the email.
I have replied to the email and had no response. The 30 days is almost up. Is it possible to speak to somebody about this please as it is very urgent?
Thank you
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an unexpected delay in the review process for my app (RadioBar), and I’d appreciate your guidance. Here’s the timeline:
March 24: Received feedback from the review team stating that identified issues could be resolved in the next update.
Same day (March 24): Fixed the issues immediately and resubmitted the app.
March 24–28: App remained in "In Review" status with no updates.
March 28: Resubmitted the app again, assuming possible system issues. Status returned to "In Review."
March 31: Requested an expedited review via the Resolution Center due to urgent bug fixes impacting users.
As of April 2, the app remains stuck in "In Review" with no progress. This delay is disrupting my development schedule and affecting users awaiting critical fixes.
Steps taken:
Ensured compliance with all guidelines.
Responded promptly to initial feedback.
Submitted expedited review request.
Could you kindly investigate the delay and prioritize the review? Any clarification or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
Hello to all,
I’m developing an app with expo.dev and I have a problem that I need help. I’m not using xcode but I’m publishing with eas cli, so I don’t generate the plist file. My app locates the device in real time to provide the weather situation at home and navigation route using google maps in a webview. Apple has rejected the app with this communication:
One or more purpose strings in the app do not sufficiently explain the use of protected resources. Purpose strings must clearly and completely describe the app's use of data and, in most cases, provide an example of how the data will be used. (Below the screen)
My app use location for show to home the weather icon and for use route navigation in google maps inside a webview.
With expo I have add string in app.json but is not enough.
Someone can helpme?

App Review
Hello everyone,
I am facing an issue with in-app subscriptions while submitting my app for review.
I have created subscriptions properly in App Store Connect.
Coding-wise, everything is implemented correctly on both the application side and backend side.
I have ensured that banking and tax information is complete, and all necessary agreements are active.
I followed the correct procedure to create and submit subscriptions for review.
Problem: App Review Team Can't See Product IDs
When I submitted my first Product ID for review with the new app binary, the app got rejected because the App Review team is unable to see the product IDs in the purchase flow.
They are trying to make a purchase using Sandbox, but the SKProducts array is coming back empty from the App Store.
Since the product IDs are not activated, the app cannot fetch them, leading to a failed purchase attempt.
This is causing a loop where the App Review team can't approve the IAP because they can't see the products.
Additional Information:
The app is not fetching SKProducts even in the development environment.
I have verified the Product IDs in App Store Connect, and they exist in the correct App Bundle ID.
There are no pending agreements or missing tax/banking details.
The in-app purchases have been submitted along with the app for review.
Request for Help:
Is there any additional step required to activate the subscriptions for App Review?
Why might the SKProducts array be empty even in development?
Has anyone faced a similar issue, and how did you resolve it?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi App Review Team and Community,
Just a few hours ago, we received a Pending Termination Notice for our app. This came as a complete surprise to us. We’ve built a strong and trustworthy service that has earned the confidence of over 30,000 users in just a month.
During this time, we've received over 290 ratings with an average score of 4.9.
We’ve never engaged in any suspicious or dishonest activity. Every new build submitted for review included all necessary legal documentation, and we’ve always done our best to stay fully compliant with Apple’s guidelines.
Although it’s only been a short time since receiving the notice, we’ve already submitted an appeal. We’ve reached out to this forum before, and the Apple Review Team was incredibly helpful. We’re truly grateful for that support, and we’re again hoping for your help, as we firmly believe this is a mistake.
This message is primarily directed to the Apple team. Please take another look at our case and help us restore our app on the App Store. We are confident in our product and the integrity of our operations.
We did notice some strange activity in our reviews over the past few days - odd comments appearing and disappearing - which may have triggered this notice. But we had nothing to do with that. Why would a well-rated app, averaging over 1,000 installs per day, need to manipulate anything?
We trust Apple to look into the situation fairly and thoroughly.
Thank you in advance for your time and support!

Hi,
I have submitted my app for review since 28/03/2025. On 31/03/2025, I don't see any review so i cancel then resubmit. Today is 1/4 it still in Waiting for Review status.
Please help me look into this issue. We need to release it ASAP
AppName: Breadstack Live Chat
AppleID: 1622537456
Thank you
Hello I'm writing on this forum to find if anyone has solution for this issue.
I've submitted my app on March 14th. And today is the end of March. I've stayed patient, not trying to bother whomever related to the review or Apple for two weeks.
Then I've tried requesting expedited review, but couldn't hear anything for days.
I've mailed developer support to know what's taking so long, and to tell that I'm willing to submit additional information about the app and the developer if that helps or if necessary. But couldn't hear anything.
I sincerely respect the policy of Apple and the reviewing process, and I truely want to adhere to it, but my experience of not getting anykinds of respond is surely unpleasant.
I had to dramatically change my app launching schedule due to the delay. Let's say the delay is reasonable. But waiting for half a month, replanning my launch again and again without knowing anything about what's going on in the review?
I'm willing to fully cooperate with whomever related to my app's review.
If anyone has solution for this please let me know.
Thank you.
Hello,
I am making my first app in appstore,
I have an iphone I was able to run the app there and take screenshots,
but It feels I am obligated to also get an ipad eventhough I don't use/need it much? Is there any other authorized way to get the screenshots for your app in an Ipad?
Or is mandatory to get an Ipad to build Iphone apps? (Unless I did not select the rigth settings and I could somehow deselect the ipad screenshots sections?)
By the way slight observation, is it me or the forum seems to be buggy and slow? I ma opening pages and it gets "error failed to download page etc"

App Review
Hi everyone,
I recently submitted my app, X2, to the App Store, but it was rejected due to guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam. The rejection message stated that my app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as other apps I’ve already submitted, with only minor differences.
They suggested I review my app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality.
For context, I have another app, X1, which was accepted and is live on the App Store.
X2 is meant to be a different version of the same app, targeting a unique audience.
It has the same core features but includes a completely redesigned user interface, a new name, and a new logo.
I overhauled all the screens in X2 to give it a fresh look, but it was still rejected.
I’ve reached out to App Review via the Resolution Center, but their response was fairly generic, emphasizing the need for distinct content and functionality.
I’m now turning to the community for advice.
What specific changes can I make to X2 to ensure it’s unique enough to pass review? Should I add new features, content, or functionalities to differentiate it from X1? Or is there a better way to handle multiple versions of an app with different branding (e.g., combining them or using in-app purchases)?
I’d really appreciate any insights or suggestions from anyone who’s dealt with a similar issue.
Thank you!

App Review
Fellow developers, have you ever faced this situation? You’ve worked hard on a cross-platform app, finally ready to launch on the App Store—only to find yourself stuck in an endless policy loop that makes approval impossible.
Apple’s “No-Win” Formula
Let’s break down Apple’s brilliantly engineered review process:
Want to use Apple’s IAP? Sure! But you must first create an in-app purchase (IAP) item.
Created an IAP? Not so fast! Apple requires your first IAP to be submitted together with a new app version, but your version 1.0 can’t submit an IAP.
Okay, let’s submit 1.0 without IAP first? Nope! Rejected under 3.1.3(b) because your app has in-app purchases on other platforms, so iOS must have them too.
Fine, I’ll use a third-party payment system (like WeChat Pay) for now. Nice try! Rejected under 3.1.1 because third-party payment systems aren’t allowed.
So, no matter what you do, your app gets rejected.
Is This Really a “Mistake”? Or…
Apple is a company full of brilliant minds—they surely see this contradiction. This isn’t a bug; it’s a feature. This policy ensures that cross-platform apps are either fully locked into Apple’s IAP or kept out of the App Store entirely.
Think about it: If this were just an oversight, why hasn’t it been fixed? Why does Apple remain completely unresponsive to appeals? Why can they adjust policies elsewhere but refuse to budge when it comes to IAP revenue?
Developers, What Can We Do?
I’ve already sent multiple appeals, all ignored by Apple. If you’ve encountered the same issue, let’s discuss it here. Maybe together, we can find a workaround—or better yet, apply pressure to Apple to explain why launching a cross-platform app on iOS feels less like a review process and more like an impossible puzzle.
Im getting Invalid Binary error the last 48 hours, I cant find a solution for this problem, also the apple dont give more information about the error.
Please can you provide more information about the Invalid Binary rejection.
Hello, I am a first time app developer and a few days after my app was approved I got a termination notice and an app removal notice from apple without any info, proof or explanation. I do not believe I did anything wrong so I submitted an appeal within an hour after receiving the termination notice. I didn’t receive any confirmation that they received the appeal or any resolution (and it has been 16 days). I contacted support through email and got a generic response something like ‘we are working on our backlog, you need to wait’. the thing is that my account is going to be terminated in less than 2 weeks and I’m panicking and don’t know what to do. did anyone have any similar experiences and how did you resolve it?
this is a part of the message I received:
Upon further review of the activity associated with your Apple Developer Program membership, it's been determined that your membership, or a membership associated with your account, has been used for dishonest or fraudulent activity, in violation of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement. Given the severity of the identified issues, all apps associated with your Apple Developer Program account have been removed from the App Store and your account has been flagged for removal.
Because your account has been flagged for removal, any earnings payments are paused and app transfers are disabled. Creating new accounts after receiving this message may result in the termination of the new or associated accounts.
Evidence of Dishonest or Fraudulent Activity
App submissions from your account have engaged in concept or feature switch schemes to evade the review process, such as dynamically populating different app content after review, submitting apps with hidden features, repeatedly submitting misleading apps, and/or submitting apps with concrete references to content that you are not authorized to provide or is otherwise not appropriate for the App Store.
Hi, I uploaded my app to TestFlight and released but mistakenly enabled support for iPads. However, the app does not support iPads, and whenever I submit it for approval, the App Store rejects it due to design issues. When I disable iPad support and re-upload it to TestFlight, I get an error stating that it does not support the previously uploaded platforms.
Can anyone please guide me how can i disable it any way around?

App Review
Hello everyone,
I’m writing because I’m feeling frustrated and confused about my recent rejections. I have several apps that include small amounts of third-party content—specifically, a remote control app for Roku devices and some quiz games featuring logos and football teams. Apple has rejected these apps for “inappropriate” use of third-party assets, yet there are many similar apps on the App Store using almost identical content (including screenshots and logos) that continue to publish updates with no apparent issues.
I’ve attempted to comply with the guidelines by removing or disclaiming brand references where I can, but I still face repeated rejections. It feels like I’m being singled out while direct competitors remain unaffected. Has anyone else run into this kind of inconsistency? How did you resolve it?
Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated. I’m hoping to understand how others have successfully navigated Apple’s rules around third-party content, especially when competing apps appear to be allowed to do the very same thing.
Thank you in advance for your help!

App Review
Hi, we are preparing to launch an app soon that will allow users to login via their apple or google accounts.
We were reviewing the app review guidelines and had some questions about Login Services.
Do we need to support username/email + password alongside social logins?
If yes, can we support passkeys to get around this restriction? passkeys do not require any information so we think this should apply
Apps that use a third-party or social login service (such as Facebook Login, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Twitter, Sign In with LinkedIn, Login with Amazon, or WeChat Login) to set up or authenticate the user’s primary account with the app must also offer as an equivalent option another login service with the following features:
- the login service limits data collection to the user’s name and email address;
- the login service allows users to keep their email address private as part of setting up their account; and
- the login service does not collect interactions with your app for advertising purposes without consent.
A user’s primary account is the account they establish with your app for the purposes of identifying themselves, signing in, and accessing your features and associated services.
Greetings, dear Review Team and community!
I'm worrying a lot that I've got no any response or at least acceptance info about my appeal.
Hope that I filed it properly and you received it.
I see that it's not a fast process and don't want to bother you.
But, could you please at least confirm the acceptance?
I sent the appeal in a week after have got a reject and termination notice.
Still superconfused about findings but did a huge work to eliminate any controversial issues, and posted a new version for the review.
Worry what will be with my account and how to contact you after the appeal time is out, will I be able to receive appeal conclusion.
If you need more information from my side I will be glad to provide any.
My App ID 6738464496.
Regards, Andrey.

App Review
Dear Apple Developer Community,
I have been facing repeated 4.3 Spam rejections for my game on the App Store, and I am struggling to understand the reason behind it. My game is a multiplayer racing and drifting game, fully designed and developed from scratch. Every aspect—including UI, 3D assets, game mechanics, and netcode—has been built independently.
While I have used some paid assets, they are strictly for visuals only (such as models and textures), not game templates or code templates. Additionally, these assets have been significantly modified to fit my game’s unique style.
To address the rejection, I have made numerous changes—some major and some minor—including:
Modifying gameplay elements
Adjusting UI and mechanics
Updating the App Store listing (title, screenshots, description, and category)
Despite these efforts, I continue to receive the same 4.3 Spam rejection. I have also tried to appeal multiple times but have not received any response.
My game is categorized under Racing and Simulation (with Racing as the main category), but I even tried submitting it under just Games without subcategories—yet the rejection persists.
I’m truly frustrated and unsure what else I can do to resolve this issue. If anyone has faced a similar situation or has any advice on how to proceed, I would greatly appreciate your insights.
Thank you in advance!
