Tried the Home/Lock Screen option in iOS 16; decided it is not for me but now cannot simply choose a new Home and Lock from my photos (or whatever). Anyone know how to restore without a complete iOS reinstall? Thanks

Converted a working AppleScript routine to a Mac shortcut but get the error message: "Not authorised to send Apple Events to Microsoft Outlook" (same with Finder). No option to authorise when run and no obvious way to allow in System Preferences. Anyone found a workaround?

Since updating to iPadOS 14.7 mail is not synching (even though it says it is). Messages read and/or deleted on Mac (Big Sur 11.5) or iPhone (iOS 14.7) are not synching. iPad mail shows read messages as unread and does not delete messages deleted elsewhere - same result whether manual or timed synch. Same result after power cycle. iOS 14.7 on iPhone works correctly (reflects action on Big Sur). Mail is from Exchange server using Outlook. Just for interest I launched Big Sur mail - the update had disabled my main Exchange account; when re-enabled it matches Outlook as does Apple mail on a non-beta iPad mini. It is just the iPad that does not synch reads and incoming deletes (it receives new mail). Messages deleted on iPad are correctly synched elsewhere. Anyone else seeing similar issues?

Trying to validate macOS app but get error message that the bundle does not contain two ICNS icons. The link to the relevant documentation clearly states that ICNS icons must not be used! The forum will not allow me to add screenshots of post links to a hosted copy (not very helpful!). I can only link to Apple URLs... The error message says: "Missing required icon. The application bundle does not contain an icon in ICNS format, containing both a 512x512 and a 512x512@2x image. For further assistance..." Documentation I refer to is here - https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/macos/icons-and-images/app-icon/ To make my life even more difficult the bundle DOES contain the two ICNS icons! Help in getting past this stuff will be appreciated.

In latest Big Sur beta trying to open System Preferences/Security & Privacy produces error: new window opens for half a second, then goes blank then error popup: Preference Error There was an error in Security & Privacy Reset SMC, enabled SIP, tried new Admin user - still cannot use Security & Privacy Anyone managed to fix this? thanks

Trying to conenct to an FTP server from Files App (with server address and login credentials known to be correct) with no success.Files App will not accept ftp:// as prefix to server address; no prefix and smb:// produce error (implying address or login is incorrect when all known to be OK).I have another app which connects fine to my ftp server but I wanted to keep all my links in one place (the Files App).Any suggestions for a fix appreciated...
