Hello,
We are wondering how and if we can save/render the view that a PerspectiveCamera sees in VisionOS.
Ideally, the goal is to use a PerspectiveCamera in a Mixed Immersive space and render out what it sees.
We don't see any methods exposed for rendering the view.
We would truly appreciate any advice on this!
Thank you.

Hello,
I am currently developing an application using RealityKit and I've encountered a couple of challenges that I need assistance with:
Capturing Perspective Camera View: I am trying to render or capture the view from a PerspectiveCamera in RealityKit/RealityView. My goal is to save this view of a 3D model as an image or video using a virtual camera. However, I'm unsure how to access or redirect the rendered output from a PerspectiveCamera within RealityKit. Is there an existing API or a recommended approach to achieve this?
Integrating SceneKit with RealityKit: I've also experimented with using
SCNNode and SCNCamera to capture the camera's view, but I'm wondering if SceneKit is directly compatible within a RealityKit scene, specifically within a RealityView.
I would like to leverage the advanced features of RealityKit for managing 3D models. Is saving the virtual view of a camera supported, and if so, what are the best practices?
Any guidance, sample code, or references to documentation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Hello,
I've been creating my own stereoscopic images on my laptop and airdropping them to the Vision Pro to view them in 3D.
My custom images have a left_eye.png and right_eye.png and have been combined into one HEIF image (as it is done natively with the headset)
In VisionOS 1.xx Photos app, I was able to see my custom images in 3D, but in VisionOS 2, the device no longer recognizes that my image(s) should also be shown stereoscopically and instead, it shows it in 2D.
I see that it gives me the option to use the AI tool to convert 2D into 3D, but the original file that I airdropped to myself (Mac --> AVP Photos Album) already has a left and right image pair.
Is this something that can be fixed?
I downloaded the new Xcode 16 Beta and AVP OS 2.0, But I saw that in Windows --> Devices + Simulators, my Mac was not recognizing that I had updated the Vision Pro's OS. So, I disconnected the AVP and tried connecting it again, but the device is not showing up.
I've tried going into Remote Devices within the headset, disabling/enabling Developer Mode, turning off/on Wifi, restarting both devices.
Is this an issue with XCode 16 Beta and/or Vision OS 2.0?
Hello, what is the recommended approach for stereoscopic video playback?
With the iPhone 15 Pro now able to record stereoscopic videos, we are wondering how to play these stereo videos in the Vision Pro.
Thanks for your help.
