Junos Pulse broken in MacOS Sierra

Looks like MacOS Sierra broke Junos Pulse (VPN client). I launch a connection and it wipes out my save connections. Does not connect. I tried to add a new connection and it's not able to connect to the service. Anyone seeing this?

I see this in the pulse log:

I can confirm that I'm experiencing the same exact issue. I try to connect, it stops after authentication and then all my saved connections are lost until I restart the service.

I had the exact same issue as well.

So, looks like a another thread found a workaround. Basically, getting an older version and connecting.

https://forums.developer.apple.com/message/144469#144469

Yes, using the version 5.0.3 from that thread, I can now connect to my company VPN. It immediatley prompts to upgrade to the most current version. I wouldn't recommend that right now.

I can also confirm that 5.0.3 fixed the issue where the service would crap out. I can now make a connection to my company's VPN. It does prompt me for an upgrade, but I can cancel that and maintain a consistent connection which is much better than not being able to connect at all.

Bummer. Your admin must be enforcing versions. So, it seems it's broken in version 5.1 and higher. I'm using version 5.0.15. Maybe you can try that and see if it''s past the minimum version your company allows. Or you can ask them to set you up in a special policy to allow your version for now. Just a thought.

For me is a totally different thing, the app seems to be working properly, but cannot connect because I get the following error even if my Firewall is turned on:

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, this is a host checker policy that is basically not finding the firewall (or FileVault, if your org has that requirement turned on as well like mine does). There's nothing you can do on the client end unforunately. The only real solution for that one is to ask your admin to disable host checker for OSX Sierra users. Good luck with that 😉

Thanks! Yeah, now it appears to detect the firewall version and the same issue as you guys got showed up, downloading 5.0.3 did the trick. Thanks again!

Oh, yes, I wasn't very clear in my message. I was intending to say even though the 5.0.3 will prompt to update on every connect, you can hit cancel to get past it.

I am back on this thread looking to see if the 2nd-4th beta releases have addressed this problem yet. I've been staying on beta 1 mainly becuase I have it working with my VPN.

It appears now as of macOS Beta 4 that Pulse Secure is totally broken even on version 5.0.3. Does anyone have any thought or suggestions on how to get it working again?

I've had something similar happen to my 5.0.3 Pulse with Beta 3 (PB 2). I got a suggestion of uninstalling Pulse 5.0.3 and reinstalling it. It worked like a charm. You may want to use something like CleanMyMac to uninstall it cleanly. Your settings will come back once you install it again.

Can you try it and see if it fixes it?

I am having the same problem.

Confirm still broken in PB6.

Any change in beta 8?
