There was an error importing this build.

My submitted builds no longer show that error - they are now just greyed out and no text next to them. If I try to add one of them to the new version in itunesconnect, the selection dialog shows processing for all the builds from last week that had shown the error.

Not sure if that means that Apple found the problem and is now reprocessing everything ... but there is hope.

I had submitted feedback on Friday moring asking for help, but I have not gotten any response (except the auto-reply that someone would respond within 24 hours, which did not happen).

I updated to XCode 7.1.1 .... now I can't even upload anymore but get this error during upload:

No json request was provided in the payload. (1269)

Not sure if this is related or the same error (with a better error message on upload) - but it is the same app with nothing changed (just recompiled with xcode 7.1.1)

Cllean and build removed that error above.

BUT:

After not showing any error for many days (just being greyed out) it shows now again an error message, this time somewhat different:

"There was an error importing this build. We are working to resolve the issue."

So it seems apple is aware of a bug and working on it - but any support requests are answered either with generic answers that don't address the problem or are not answered at all .....

Hope they resolve this soon since I can't make anything available through test flight and also can't submit anything to review this way. Pretty annoying that apple does not respond at all to this.

nope - And customer support is not answering any emails anymore. I got one generic answer asking for screen shots and several things that were totally unrelated (don't think that persion read my email at all), but I never got a response.

Just tried a new upload thorugh xcode 7.1.1 - same result.

It is now a month that I am struggeling with this and Apple is no help at all.

For those facing this error and also enabling bitcode. We had the same issue submitting for TVOS. Turns out it was duplicate symbols and the re-compile from bitcode ****'ed. Note that a normal build/run Linker did NOT have the duplicate symbols. I think something with the static libs we are linking.

To see the error, achive/export/developer enable bitcode gen. Then when it errors, click the 'view logs' button to see the problem.

I had the same issue today. Apparently the cryptic empty JSON is some kind of a Bitcode descriptor.

• Changed all Bitcode settings in Project/Targets to default setting (YES) from occasional NO

• Cleaned the project (kept DerivedData as is)

• Archived for Release

• Submit to AppStore with Bitcode DISABLED (as usual) and the issue was gone.

I had the error (No json request was provided in the payload. (1269)) a few minutes ago after trying to upload a build using Application Loader. After looking at the log file a minute or two, I just hit the next button and it went through the upload process again with no changes on my part and it successfully uploaded the archive with no problem.

the tip with the export is super helpful for getting to the error message - I don't get a log file but a pop up error message with an error too long to fit into the message box, but I can copy&paste it into a text editor. However, what I see in there seems like an issue on apples side - this is the error I see when exporting:

My deployment target is 8.0 (and base SDK is 9.1).... so why does it create stuff for iOS6 (which than fails later on) ???? From the full log in looks like it is creating stuff for 8.0 and 6.0 ...... don't get why.

For now I submitted a version without bitcode so that my testers can at least test, but would be nice to have a bitcode enabled version (guess it is not yet ready for prime time ???)

Not sure where to go from here - I see no trace of 6.0 enabling in my settings and Apple Support is not helpful at all - they either don't respond at all or only send pre-fabricated text that does not really address the issue.

disabling bitcode is not really a solution - it is good as a tempoary workaround. But Apple will probably soon require bitcode enabled for app submisions and I would like to be prepared for it (and even if not yet required, it is an awesome feature that our users would appreciate due to the smaller download size)
