I created a custom component for composer pro in which I have several variables I need an entity to have.
The idea is to add this component to some 3d models and save them as usdz’s then I load these usdz’s in code and do specific things depending on these variables.
The component shows up in composer fine and I can set variables there. The problem is that the values I set in composer are different that what is shown in code. lets say in composer I set canMove = true. then when I read in code is set to false.
I don’t know if I’m missing something
public struct MyObjectComponent: Component, Codable
{
public var affectAll: Bool = false
public var affectFloor: Bool = false
public var canMove: Bool = false
public var moveX: Bool = false
public var moveY: Bool = false
public var moveZ: Bool = false
public var canRotate: Bool = false
public var rotateX: Bool = false
public var rotateY: Bool = false
public var rotateZ: Bool = false
public init() {
}
}
Any help appreciated.

We are working on an app for the vision pro which has high polygons count and lots of high resolution textures. Everything looks smooth and in general very well, The issue is the moment we turn on voice control even if it is not being used the visuals at the center start to stutter left to right. Has anyone seen this ?, it must be a bug, any workaround ?
Thanks,
Guillermo
I'm creating an application with swiftui which gets images and videos from the Photos picker then store them with swiftData for later use.
I save both images and videos as data with @Attribute(.externalStorage).
But it just seems wrong to me to store the videos that way, they can be several gigabytes in size . What is the correct way to handle something like this ? Is it to store the url and then each time the user wants to see a video save a temporary video ?. If that's the case can anyone show me how this should be done?
Any comments appreciated

I'm creating a full immersive app of a large 3d environment in which I need to be able to move the player with different options like, hand gestures, game controller and teleporting.
I have worked with unreal engine in which moving the player is easy and well documented. But I have not been able to find any information on how I could achieve this in visionOS.
Has anyone done something similar that could give me some advice or sample code?
any help appreciated

I'm trying to control the LOD of textures for an app for vision pro, With the default image node in composer pro the UV's are correct but the LOD is not what I want, I would like to have control over it. I see there is a node called "RealityKitTexture2DLOD" but as soon as I try to use that one the UV's are all messed up. Am I missing something ? Do we need to do something specific to use this node ?
I tried to use the nodes "Place 2D" and "UsdTransform2d" but could not get the texture to align
Any help appreciated
