@Claude31 I'm not touching the volume at all, I've put the entire code I use in my post.
@OOper By "does not work" I meant that there is no sound on the user's device. I am not able to replicate the behavior on my side, so I don't have much more info than users saying that they don't hear the sound. I'll check with them if they are in silent mode

I have the same problem, did you manage to find a problem? It's indeed a bug with iOS16, but since it's going to be released soon I'm worried my app will just crash after release.
I am seeing bugs accross the board on AVSpeech related to iOS 16. Have you found a solution?
As far as I know there isn't currently a solution. Hopefully Apple will fix it before release.
I'm having the same issue: random crashes after a few minutes of the app running, and a "Failed to identify a store that can hold instances of SwiftData" error.
