Can't generate promo code

I have been receiving this error message since April 5:


Can't Generate Promo Code

We're having trouble generating the codes. Please contact App Store Developer Support for assistance.


I have plenty of promo codes remaining.


Also, when I click through to the contact page, I get a useless series of menus that let me specify my problem and no place to actually send a message. It just has two buttons ("Start over" and "Done").


UPDATE: After six (6) days of downtime, this appears to be fixed.

I also got contacted by Apple and referenced this thread. (and answered all their questions, and included a screen capture video of the steps to reproduce).


Just wondering... I just renewed my yearly developer membership with Apple last week or so. Wondering if maybe there's some issue with that. Anyone else just renew as well?

Same problem. Problem still persists, for 48 hours till now 😟 I have renewed already weeks ago.

Same here. I've been facing this issue since Friday (so today it's the third day it doesn't work for me). Apple support just told me to clear cache. Unbeliavable

Having the same problem on all the developer accounts that I manage (for different clients). Has anyone gotten any feedback or status on this problem?

I’ve also been unable to generate promo codes with the same generic error message since 5th April, so it’s been 4 days now. I called EU Dev Support and submitted a full bug report on 6th April as the promo code generation was still failing. Also asked for a promo codo to be manually created as a work around, but they said it wasn't possible. I’ve been checking my Mac and network for permission problems, but judging by the response on the forum it looks like a server side error. I called EU Dev Support again today but they still don’t know anything because the US haven’t woken up yet. Surely someone must have checked the server error logs over the weekend and found the problem by now. Unfortunately if it isn’t fixed soon I’ll have to contact the magazine requesting a promo code and tell them Apple's systems are down. As if creating and selling apps isn't hard enough. Very dissapointing. 😠

Also encountering this issue today, on my Admin account. Any resolution?

I can only see my old codes, no new codes in the history.

Confirmed that clearing the cache does not resolve the problem.
