When will the option to not rest ratings with a new update start?

Choosing not to reset ratings for new app updates was announced at WWDC 2017.

Is this possible for updates submitted as of now?

Is this going to become available at the point developers can submit iOS 11 built updates?

Can someone please clarify the timing of this.

I have updates to release but would rather wait until I can choose not to reset all ratings.

Many thanks,

Steve

This whole thing seems way out of line with the spirit of the "don't reset my hard-earned ratings" feature as announced at WWDC. That seemed like a great idea: Release a new version but hold on to your ratings (and review?) history.

I guess we still have that capability going forward, but what happened on 9/19/17 is not helpful at all — stripping away ratings for prior versions? Ouch. And the reviews for prior versions are completely gone in the iOS 10 App Store. I understand users are moving away from iOS 10, but many are there at the moment.

Also, what's with the odd assortment of reviews showing up in the iOS 11 App Store? In the case of my app, they're not the most recent reviews. Some are not even for the most recent version. (I'm not alone here; search "app store reviews" on Twitter).

And now reviews have reappeared in iOS 10. Hopefully they won't disappear again.

+1, same here, 2 years ratings recevied before September 19'th are all gone!
Bring my ratings back to me!

When will the option to not rest ratings with a new update start?
