When I upgraded my 2nd gen iPad Pro to iPadOS 17 beta 1, the entry method changed from the 0 large numbers that normally show for a numerical passcode to a text entry field - but the passcode worked. Now I updated to Beta 2 and it says press home to upgrade, then shows the passcode textfield, but doesn't accept my Passcode anymore. Any hints?

This happened to me just now with Beta 3
hi me too, my iPad pro 10inch is first generation, and is not accepting my passcode after and update for iOS 17 beta developer. so after hours of search i finally got an answer. and it work.
so many are telling you to restore ur iPad with your mac true iTunes. but ya there is no iTunes on the new mac OS.
so you need to go true finder to do a restore.
on mac : open finder true the the bottom bar. then on the left side in that window, scroll all the way down to location. and that's where your going to be able to see iPad along your mac/hardrive/network
connect iPad with your mac true USB cable. if you don't see iPad show up in location with your mac/ harddrive/ network then leave it plug to your mac and holding start bottom an the home bottom until you see the apple, then keep your finger on the home bottom until it start. you will still see that white page asking to hit home bottom to update, BUT at this point you should see the iPad in finder in location. click on iPad.
on screen it will ask if you want to restore and update say yes. this part is long. make sure your mac is plug and the screen stay open
this step will install iOS 16 before restoring your iPad.
the mac will be downloading a restore program and it is a 6GB file,
so depending of your internet it could be long. make sure it is not disturb.
mac will install iOs 16 and do the restore then first thing you know your iPad is all good to go.
make sure to be able to do all the next step the iPad is asking. just like when it was brand new. and it will ask you witch backup to used. so if you don't want iOS17 again, then it is any backup before june 5 if you were on developer beta and july 5 if you were on beta public.
so in my case my iPad is to old for iOS 17 plus it is only 64GB and seriously it is to small for iOS17. if that's your case stay on iOS 16. i ran out of space for loading all my apps.

Iphone 13 pro max, works perfectly on IOS 17.3 beta 1 and now after the update to 17.3 beta 2 wont even boot, stuck at the loading circle.
