How to bring back existing App Store ratings and reviews?

My Apple Developer Program expired and when I renewed it, all the existing ratings and reviews on our App was deleted.

The same app version remained but the reviews were gone.

We have spent years working on and improving these reviews so it's a real disappointment.
Is there any way to restore them?

Reviews and ratings use current purchasing/download activity. I think that once that record is interrupted, you need to build it again.

Perhaps if you updated that app, it's previous record would be restored, but I you'd need to contact support directly to confirm current practice.

Did you ever get your ratings/reviews back and if so how? I am in the same boat right now :( it seems really unfair that Apple would get rid of all the positive ratings for simply forgetting an account renewal...
