Which is a shame at a price tag of $3,500.

Which is pretty funny, since I always get a warning if I submit my iPad app without visionOS support :)
Yes, I ended up buying an M3 Max MBP. It's crazy, but I had to.
I had similar problems when I upgraded Xcode to 15.1 beta. The 15 beta simulator stopped working. It was tough to restore things so I could work with it again. In the end, I bought an M3 Max MBP. Which is insane just for creating apps for this new platform.
It won't work. At least not in a satisfying way. I tried this approach, but if was buggy and super slow. Also, it was hard to get it up and running in the first place. It caused me so much trouble that I ended up buying an M3 MBP the day it came out. And yes, shame on Apple to force people to do so. Together with the VP, this will add up to around $9.5k for me (would have been cheaper if I hadn't picked one of the Max ones, but I wanted to be sure that I can keep up their pace for a while).
Do SwiftUI maps support clustering now?
This does not work if you want to have the map be tappable as well, to create new markers. In this case, a tap event on the annotation "bubbles" up to the map as well, creating a new marker.
I think that Apple limits itself too drastically by imposing these "data privacy" regulations. Even on real devices, some important AR features are just missing.
We're a company with lots of Unity experience, applied on day 1 as well, but haven't received any feedback either. Seems as if there's only a few lucky people who can actually get hold of the real device.
Sorry, but there's tons of use-cases where these type of sensor data make totally sense.
Thanks, sounds good!
This is counter-intuitive. Also, it seems to have changed between versions. I am working through an older Udemy course, and at that time (2020) it seemed to work without any issues.
Thanks, sounds good! And this anchor will be kept in place, even if the user walks / looks around?
That's a big gap in their AR implementation. There are tons of usecases where you need more than just anchors on planes or meshes.
I tried to find your library, but on its Github site it says: "Currently unavailable due to internal complications". Is there any ETA for availability? I also couldn't find any licensing terms.
