I am planning to launch an iPad only app for now. However, I would like to enable iPhone support for the app in one of the updates in future. Is this something Appstore will allow and can I do that by simply making my app Universal in Xcode?

We want to offer a "1 week free trial" and a 50% off on annual subscription (we have monthly subscriptions as well, that will be on regular price) to new users. Will this be possible? Based on my reading about setting up promotional offers, it seems promotional offers can be presented only to existing or subscription expired users.
