Kevin, just so you are aware, this is a huge FAIL for those of us working in the enterprise domain. Losing the ability to activate an app in the background for data purposes is a dealbreaker for many apps.

Ditto, what was a hugely stable iMac Pro, after upgrade to Big Sur now seems to reboot sporadically.
Typically opaque Apple response ... crickets.
I hope everyone is sending Apple the crash report after rebooting - I am.
Same here - what the heck is going on - the opposite of productivity.
Not fixed in yesterday's Xcode 13.1 release
Absolutely nuts - same issue with Xcode 13.1
ditto, beta #3
What others have said, installing VisionOS seems to resolve - I'm disappointed that even at beta #3, this is something that really shouldn't have been pushed out.
well that saved my life - thanks!
Yeah, it's opaque as usual. I believe it's marked as managed if it's generated via Xcode; what I don't know is if an enterprise app has been signed by it and is distributed, does the app in-the-field still function after automatic/manual rotation?
For enterprise user's, this is still as clear as mud. My distribution cert and profile expires in two months and I need to push out a new app in my enterprise environment. I now have THREE distribution certs showing up - one a regular cert that expires in 2 months, and two distribution certs marked "Managed" - the usual Apple opaqueness. HELP!!!!
Ditto - this needs to be fixed pronto
