Linking error: Library not found
Hi, I am using xcode 12.4 and In a macOS/OSX project I am getting a linking error Library not found. The mac os app is using a C++ library that is being successfully built in the xcode workspace, but the linker fails to find it I have added that dependency Cpp library in the "Link binary with Libraries" (Build phases) I think my Library search paths setting in Build Settings is not correct, The output of workspace which includes the C library is in the Derived data, how can I specify derived data path as variable and use it to point to C library folder ? Thanks, Ahmed

Which part to be notarized in a pkg, .app or pkg or both ?
Hi, I have to publish a macOS application outside the AppStore, downloadable from another a third-party website. I have to build an app say for example myapp.app and then pack it inside a package installer .pkg file users will download and run pkg to install the app. Which part in the least should be Notarized & signed, the app has to run on catalina 10.14 & newer versions Should .app and .pkg both should be signed and notarized or .pkg is enough to be signed & notarized ? if some one can direct me to any documentation on this subject along with answer, that would be great. Thanks, Ahmed

Class, Function & line identification from crash stack-trace of debug version macOS app
Hi there, I received following stack trace(crash report attached) from a macOS app that crashed. The app was a debug version. The app's debug version was compiled using Xcode 12.4 and DWARF + dSYM was selected. line no 1, 19 & 20 look like this 1   eu.synctest.SyncAppMac     0x0000000109451d6c 0x109443000 + 60780 19  eu.synctest.SyncAppMac     0x0000000109446e72 0x109443000 + 15986 20  eu.synctest.SyncAppMac     0x0000000109446e44 0x109443000 + 15940 In the lines above , I can neither find class or function or line number of the actual code to be able to identify the problem. Since this was a debug version I thought I was expecting the name of the class and function in this crash report. Is my assumption incorrect that a debug version of the app when it crashes should have shown the information of code (class, function, line) ? - if this assumption is correct, why is the crash report not showing the same ? How can I know the exact point in actual code to be able to figure out the cause ? crash report - https://developer.apple.com/forums/content/attachment/a2a86b83-c21c-4d96-8886-6e3624131c67
