My dear friend KMT, incredible that you are still around after all these years ;-) Still remember the last Developer Forum change back then turning it into something almost unusable, pushing good people to giving and searching advise on StackOverflow and elsewhere… I just hope that they did it right this time, maybe it will even work well on mobile devices…

Thanks for asking. Alive and kicking. Actually, I am very keen on publishing my very first app on the App Store this year. Really? Yes, I have just been trying to get better since 2008, starting with Apple sample code “Hello World” back then… No joke. 2020 is a very good year for this now, having made the switch to Swift from Objective-c two years ago, now to SwiftUI that I love a lot. By now, Apple has invented pretty much any technology and API that I would need for my project. Excellent. Yes, I know, somewhat late to the party, but still enjoying being around here A LOT ;-) I owe “you guys of the very first hour” a lot, without people like you (and Apple engineers like Eskimo1) I would not have made it so far ;-)
Hi, KMT,
Still keeping your nice record ;-)
They did a decent job on mobile devices. It looks so much better on iPad and even iPhones.
We both know that we are hanging around here for more than five years, but never mind ;-)
“Pacific Rim” region, nice…
See you ;-)
Hi, did you ask this five minutes ago?
We are by now on Xcode 11.5 (11.6 Beta) ;-)
It is important to only use the latest available release. Of course, you can always set lower development targets for older OS versions, but keep your Xcode updated.
This might solve your issue ;-)
Is this new Apple Developer Forum hand-curated by now? Twenty minutes for the approval of an answer? You are getting qicker on this, do you?
See you ;-)
And I would love to see better entry options on the Developer Forums' start page. watchOS is no interesting topic to be dealt with? Oh dear…
Since there are some Apple guys around during the very last minutes viewing watchOS questions, are there any news on this watchOS 6.2.8 release?
Thank you ;-)
Please feel free to ask your parents to restrict your iPhone and Watch access in the Parental Control settings on iPhone…
Kind regards ;-)
And I liked this one: ”You’ve exceeded the posting limits. Please try again in a few minutes.“
This new feature might hurt you a bit, KMT ;-)
Cher Claude, as far as I remember, you can build your app in Xcode targeting a ”real“ Watch device (not a simulator), then open QuickTime on your Mac and record a new ”screen cast“ from your physical Watch.
Yes, it is magic and your Watch should show up in the list of available devices as iPhone do ;-)
No more need to have strange eagle-eye viewed screen footage…
Looking forward to installing watchOS 7.0 beta now. No, I am not surprised that nothing happened regarding watchOS 6.2.8 anymore…
See you around ;-)
For all of you having difficulties installing watchOS 7.0 Beta…
No joke, the path for downloading the profile is NOT correct… Sounds familiar?
Please replace this WRONG path:
https://developer.apple.com/services-account/download?path=/services-account/download?path=/WWDC_2020/watchOS_7_beta_Configuration_Profile/watchOS_7_Beta_Profilemobileconfig.mobileconfig
…with this CORRECT path:
https://developer.apple.com/services-account/download?path=/WWDC_2020/watchOS_7_beta_Configuration_Profile/watchOS_7_Beta_Profilemobileconfig.mobileconfig
And please make sure that your Watch is not code protected while installing the profile (on your wrist and accessible, will do).
See you ;-)
Thank you dheim89, was about to paste the link myself…
Hola, how did you get there? I do not even succeed in installing Big Sur at all. Yes, I downloaded the Profile, did run the installation app, but there are only Catalina Updates offered to me, NO Big Sur yet… Do you have any idea?
Thank you ;-)
Hello, and thank you for the answer on the Big Sur installation.
In the future, yes, I think this is the direction Apple are heading, but for the time being, no. Not yet.
