Confused about app revenue and taxes

Hello community,

I put my first paid app to the app store for price tier 27 (which is about 29,99€ in my country: Germany)

After one download in Switzerland, I got at the end 15,08€ from apple and I don't understand why...

I thought it would be simply 70% of the 29,99€ (So 20,99€)

Now I saw, that price tier 27 in Switzerland means 27CHF (which is 23,46€).

1. Why isn't it (according to the euro price) 34,53CHF?

After that I looked up in the revenue table from apple.
It said that the revenue is 17,55 (which is the said 15,08 after exchange rate)
But even 27CHF minus 30% would be 18,90CHF.

2. So why does Apple pay taxes to my revenue? I thought that would be on me afterwards?
(And because of my small entrepreneur scheme, I don't have to pay added value tax in Germany)

If anyone can explain this to my, I would be very grateful!

Not sure if this still an issue for you but I'm experiencing the same right now. I am from Germany, my app has price tier "Alternative B", which is 0.99€ but I get paid only 58% of that. Why is that? I thought it was 70%?

Taxes. Global taxes are a mess.

I'm pretty sure the App Store prices include the VAT. Apple collects that and gives you 70% of what remains. They are the ones handling sales tax payments to the local government.

You are responsible for declaring your income and paying income tax on that.
