They advertise on the keyword “PicSolve” so their app shows first on search results over mine.
Not necessarily intentionally - if they set the advertising to "broad", then the system may show their app for related keywords.
A company pretty much cloned my app, the UI, color scheme
I downloaded both apps and not sure how much "color scheme" or UI is there in this app and how would one make it so different that would look like another app because the nature of the app itself.
It’s a clear attempt at impersonation.
Maybe they tried to look similar to you, but I'd say there isn't any clear policy violation. The icons are different, and the names (title) are also different and it's practically impossible to confuse one with another. In any case I wouldn't go down this route to try and suppress the competition because there is many more to come. I'd focus on how to:
- Improve the app (better than the competition)
- Finding ways how to market it better
