Mouse click (tap) in the corner of the iPad screen does not work

In our app, we connect the mouse to the iPad and move the cursor to the end of the 4 corners and click, then the tap action does not work.

Is this because of the hot corner motion, Apple made the 4 corner tap motion not occur? Or is there a way to get a tap gesture when clicking in each corner?
