No service or cellular data after ios 14.7.1 update

I updated my software to 14.7.1 recently and lost my cellular data completely.

i have tried all the trouble shooting steps and still cannot get it to work

  • restart my phone (couple times)
  • reset network setting
  • insert new SIM card
  • called my carrier (Tmobile) to refresh on their end

anyone is experiencing the same thing?

Ooh, iOS v14.8. I wonder if it will fix this issue. I'll find out later today after I do a back up and upgrade. Did anyone try it yet?

Just updated my iPhone XS to the iOS 14.8, and now I have lost the cellular data (No Service) as well, never had such an issue. I have tried everything above, nothing helped!

Additionally, I have an iPad Pro 11inch 2nd generation which has been also updated to the latest iPadOS 14.8, tried to use my sim with it and it has the same issue, No Service

Same for me, IPhone 7. Have the issue for one week now. At first I was able to get the phone back to service by re-starting or switch flight mode on and off again. but for 3 days it's completely lost now. I also did a reset without success. This morning I updated to 14.8 - issue persits.

ios 14.8 don’t fix this “No Service” issue at all. i have this problem since two weeks ago. I have tried everything. I have contacted Apple support, they already check my iphone there is no issue with the hardware. I was told to call the cellular provider, there is also no issue with my telco and the telco asked me to bring my iphone to the authorised service centre. With MCO, that seems no to be possible this time. How long should I wait to resolve this problem? I am not going to do the factory reset option unless it the “No Signal” problem issue is resolve. What if the problem is still persist? Can Apple do something with this issue asap?

did iOS 15 fix this for anyone? Cause it didn’t for me

I have a Iphone 7 and did the update to 14.8 and the phone dead. The upgrade bring me the massage that not service and the update cant continue per Network issue. I tried to uninstall and upgrade to 15 but its the same. Also tray with mane networks and its worst because my Itunes now don+t get the cell info so I can backup my info. I tried many thinks like restar the network settings but its the same issue. Nots works.... I hope that they bring a new release to fix that ASAP until i get a new phone to continue receiving calls... But apple says that Im lucky because its working with wi fi yet.. WTF....

Interesting. I got a Verizon Wireless carrier update and my cellular signal is better now? We'll see.

I have also had the same issue with my iPhone 11, I've tried different SIM cards, restarting and resetting the phone. Both apple and tmobile suggested getting a new device or waiting until a new update comes out. Who knows how long that is going to be?

I started to have this issue on ny iphone12 pro after updating to tye ios 15, got in mail my bew iphone 13 pro max and i still have the same issue. I contacted apple support had me do several things including reseting network settings and some other things , contacted att had them reset the connection to the tower, and nothing got fixed… same thing is happened to both phones. Apple please fix the issue, since started to happen after the update has to be something wrong with it. thanks bye

latest update on this issue.

I went to Apple Service centre this afternoon, they have checked my iphone and it is confirmed that the problem is something to do with hardware issue-Network Circuit Power Failure. This issue is common for Iphone 11 series. The repairing process is a bit tedious since it require stereo microscope, and infrared cam. In my country, Apple don’t offer this type of phone repair, they only offer you one to one exchange with the new unit but you have to pay if it is not under warranty, bur if still under warranty (1 year), probably it cost you nothing. If in your country you can find out the certified technician to do this, it is worth a try.
