Why our app shows 'Designed for iPad' by default?

Hello all,

Today I saw, that on our app store product page it states "Designed for iPad" under the name of our app. And the screenshots are by default selected for iPad.

I tried to search the forum and the web for a solution, I also tried to find a setting in Xcode for this, but I couldn't find the exact issue nor the solution.

Yes, our app works on iPad, but mainly it's designed for iPhones, and it confuses some of our new customers when they first open the link and see "Designed for iPad".

My question is: how (or where) can I select that the default device is the iPhone?

(So it will say 'Designed for iPhone' and not iPad, and I also expect that the screenshots are by default show the iPhone screenshots, not the iPad screenshots)

Thank you for your help!

I had this same problem. I fixed it by doing this: https://stackoverflow.com/a/66609391/8948894
Basically, in the appstore connect go to your app then under the Pricing and Availability tab, I unchecked the Make this app available for Apple Silicon Mac Availability, and now my iPhone screenshots show first and it removes the "Designed for iPad". It took a couple hours to update on the store though.

Thank you WyFry, it really solved the issue and it really took 1-2 hours to see the changes. :)
I think I may understand why it solved the issue, but sometimes it amazes me how complicated and deep this whole app-store and the apple-release thing is.
