Hello,
There are a lot of apps that currently have versions available for macOS and iOS. These apps traditionally have a separate App ID for each platform and are separate apps in App Store Connect.
Now we are able to have a single App ID with builds for both iOS and macOS included. What is the best practice for handling existing apps on the store which already have 2 different versions?
If we start adding the macOS builds into the iOS App ID and remove the existing macOS app from the store, existing macOS users won't receive automatic updates. There are also issues with subscriptions on the old macOS app not being linked to the iOS version.
Is there any issues with leaving 2 separate apps macOS and iOS apps in the store, and could this cause issues with search engine ratings?
Thank you
