After Installing MacOS Big Sur latest beta update, My mac is showing battery service required warning in battery Icon.

Hi, I installed and update the macOS Big Sur latest available beta and after installation is done, It is showing me battery service required warning in my battery icon, My mac is new and it's been hardly 5-6 months and used casually.
Same problem, as i installed Big Sur... the fan is constantly running and battery drained very fast. Apple please fix it ASAP.
Same issue. Posted it earlier as well. Totally ridiculous and now on a restart the laptop takes abnormally long time to boot up. The status bar just creeps along. I want Catalina back. This is ridiculous and if you look back at forums in the beta in July. SAME issues and yet still not fixed
Need some help!, 2-3 battery hours, fan is working always and some slow functions like the internet: slow sometimes like a 90`s modem. I appreciate the support.
Resetting SMC solved my issue with not charging and not recognized charger - https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201295

Shut down your Mac.
On your built-in keyboard, press and hold all of the following keys. Your Mac might turn on.
"Control" + "Option"  on the left side of your keyboard
  • "Shift"  on the right side of your keyboard

Keep holding all three keys for 7 seconds, then press and hold the power button as well.
If your Mac is on, it will turn off as you hold the keys.

Keep holding all four keys for another 7 seconds, then release them.
Wait a few seconds, then press the power button to turn on your Mac.
Exactly the same problems, battery drains in 3 hours, wifi and LAN connections unstable. I need to know when will the update with the fix be released, if not I would have to go back to Catalina. Not ok Apple.
facing the same issue, and resetting SMC did not resolve the issue. Moreover, the password screen is showing a different battery percentage than the battery percent used on the desktop. Weird. I hope Apple will provide a prompt solution to resolve it.
Facing battery drain issue on my MacBook after Big Sur installation. Apple support team is also of no help.
70% battery is draining to 0% from 9 PM to 3 AM that too in sleep mode. If anyone is having any solution please help.

Have the same problem, since I installed Big Sur the battery drains after 3-4 hours of use. It can stay up to 8-9 hours before this update!!!
My Mac won't charge after updating (( I see "Battery is no charged" or something like "17h 15m until fully charged".
Macbook PRO 2017 15"
Same problem of battery and Fan.

With Catalina :
  • 4. hours with on battery

  • 1 hours to charge it

  • Fan at full speed with more than 90% CPU

With BigSur :
  • 1 hours on battery

  • 2 hours to charge it

  • Fan at full speed with more than 30% CPU !!!

  • Service Required on battery

I called support and they told me to change the battery !
SMC reset with no effect. It's a joke.

My battery is is draining fast compared to Mac OS Catalina ! ! ! ! "
update.
two hours on phone with tech. Couldn’t solve it. Said they have no idea. Aware of the problem Has to be sent back to them to try and fix. And will wipe it clean and restore to Catalina. Can’t be done at apple store. Total BS. And no idea how long it will take. Great! No lap top for who knows how long. Gee. Guess if you work or are a student you’re pretty much screwed All because of Big Sur. Don’t touch it. It’s a mess. So if the fixes on this forum don’t work for you this is your fate.
I'm getting the same issue on my 2015 Macbook Air. Fan is running nonstop and battery is draining really fast. Any ways to resolve it?
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
I installed Bug Sur, and instead of 6-7 hours on battery, battery drains in 1 1/2h - 2h.
Please fix that.
Somehow I believe this is connected to the new M1 Macbooks and how bigSur is optimised foi their improved battery capabilities...
