iOS 14 Beta 3 Bluetooth issue

I have this same issue with iOS 14.3 on iPhone 12 Max and Watch 7.2 on Series 6 (latest versions as-of 1/1/2021). It was working fine, then I recently upgraded both and got the same behavior others are describing. If Bluetooth is enabled on the watch, my IPhone will not play audio through my Airpods. They show connected in Bluetooth, but do not play audio. Any audio app hangs and either reverts to phone audio or doesn’t play at all. Switching Bluetooth off on the watch, then connecting AirPods to phone resolves the issue temporarily. This is especially annoying as the main time I use my AirPods is when exercising.

Apple! Please fix this issue!!!!

I am confirming IOS 14's Bluetooth issue with Airpod Pro.

From my Iphone x to Iphone 12, ISO 14.1~14.3, my two Airpod Pros appear to have connected to my phone but not actually connected.  In the Bluetooth setting, Pro shown connected to the phone. But I can not play any music and no youtube sound from Airpod Pro.

They work with ipad in ISO14.3 without any issue. My phone setting has no issue with old Airpod.  So, I thought my phone setting has unknown interference Bluetooth connection to the airpod Pro.

After seeing the tip in the forums, I power off my apple watch.  My connected Airpod Pros began to work.  I can operate them as normal.  Therefore, for sure, the IOS, Airpod PRO, and apple watches, something does not work together.  This happen on some phone like my.

After connecting two both left and right Pro and playing sound, I turned on the watch.  The connection to the pro still work.  If I place both left and right PRO into the case and close the cap, I will fail to reconnect the Pro to my phone.  If I place only one Pro set inside the case, the connection is still effective.

There, as long as watch is connecting to the phone, the watch prevent new connection from my Pro to the phone. 

I hope Apple can resolve this for all the phone.

I wonder if Apple is reading this... I really really tired of the bluetooth issues.

Same issue with me. Watch or phones. Ridiculous.

@apple bought an iPhone 12 Pro last week and already facing Bluetooth connectivity issues with my airpods after update to iOS 14.3. Please FIX IT, this is seriously not a good experience.

I HATE this update. Continuously disconnecting from my AirPods, my cars Bluetooth, and any Bluetooth item. This is ridiculous, fix it now! I am not happy! I just bought my AirPod pros, come on apple. Get it together! Not only am I having Bluetooth issues but now my screen lags and is overall extremely difficult to type on. This is the worst update ever!

I just got my wife some Airpod pros. I couldn't get them to hook up so I thought Id try to hook them to my phone which is the exact same phone as hers iphone 11. They hooked up right away and sounded great. After hours of trying to figure out what the difference was between our phones I find it! ( or so I think I did), Hers is IOS 14.3 and mine is IOS 14.2, its the only thing that could be wrong. Apple should either fix this or figure out something asap

iOS 14 is a mess. We are now up to the third patch & this problem persists. I thought Apple were a company that did not let this type of thing happen & used it as a cornerstone of the company. QA has gone seriously downhill. Having to disconnect your Apple Watch to just get your airpods to connect? This problem annihilates any benefit from the H1 chip.

Just a heads up everyone. If you are having this issue, your airpods are counterfeit.

I am having the opposite issue. I recently updated my IPhone 8 to IOS 14.5. Now in the middle of a phone call, whether I am on the device itself, hands free, or in my car - the call switches to earphones. I have both Powerbeats and AirpodsPro. I have disconnected Bluetooth on both - but I still get essentially disconnected in the middle of calls showing my phone has switched to . Advice on how to repair?
