IOS 14 WiFi

Anyone experiencing issues with IOS 14 and wifi connectivity?
Nothing changed with iOS 14.2, still not able to connect to any network!
Didn’t have issues on my 11 Pro Max 512gb with 14.1, 14.2 updated and I can’t login on my router.
I am on an iPhone 8 Plus. I've been having an issue since the first IOS 14 update and the latest still hasn't corrected it. Wifi keeps dropping. The settings tell me I am connected to a wifi network, however the phone thinks it's still using my LTE data coverage which is sparse at my house and very slow. I've tried the airplane mode trick with no success. Rebooting the phone will sometimes reconnect me but I don't stay connected.
I just bought a new iPhone XR like 2 weeks ago and it updated to iOS 14, and the iOS 14.2 but apparently when my phone is on sleep mode wifi just stops working for a moment cause notifications only arrive when unlocking it. This also happens when trying to use WhatsApp web. it says that my phone has no connection. I thought my new phone was damaged, but it seems its because of this version of iOS. if anyone knows how to fix it please help me.
Please help me I haven’t been able to connect to wifi untill I sit next to my router this is happening since my 14.0 update please help me I will cry off man this is very hard to take in and my front camera also stopped working out of no where please help

I’m having trouble with iOS 14.2 it says to connect to internet when I am
Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their iOS 14.2 update—you know, the update that fixed the WiFi dropping issue—Rrrrrriiiiiiggggghhhhhttttt. Apple this is getting ridiculous!!! It's been almost 2 months since you released iOS 14 and you've not yet taken responsibility for this train wreck of a release. How about begin re-signing iOS 13.x for all devices so your customers can go back to getting things done working from home?"!!! By the way, everyone should try to have a phone conversation using WiFi calling with when their phone keeps dropping off the WiFi connection every 5 minutes!!! And, in case anyone out there wants to make suggestions, I have 4 other iPhones (8+, 6+, & 2 5s[s]) that will remain connected to my perfectly tuned WiFi mesh everywhere my Xs Max drops off—my Xs Max would never drop off my WiFi network in those areas until iOS 14 was installed. The older phones have one thing in common: they're not running (or able to run) iOS 14.x It's not my network, it's not my VPN (I'm not running one), it's not my router or access point (AP) settings (because they have not changed), and it's not a router or AP firmware update (becuase none has been updated since updating to iOS 14.x)—It's iOS 14.x!!! I had to drop back down to my iPhone 6+ to get work done and make and take phone calls!!! To that end, my Xs Max is currently an EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT!!!

Hey Mohhammed from India, I feel your pain. See the post I submitted 2 weeks ago entitled, Apple Is Too Quiet & Moving At A Snail's Pace With a Remedy For iOS 14.x WiFi Connection Dropping Issue.—It's a long and catchy title. Since that post, I've noticed a number of patterns: First, my Xs Max remains connected to my older 802.11n AP—even when I'm on the other side of my home, but not to my 802.11ac router (located 12 feet up on a plant shelf) when I'm standing right in front of it. However, my Xs Max will remain connected all day long to my 802.11ac AP in my office (sits 10 feet from where I work)—that is, if my Xs Max does not leave my office. As I stated in my prior post: Apple has either made an undisclosed change to the WiFi device driver or someone on the iOS development team forgot to finish developing or testing it.

Oh, one more thing (couldn't resist): MacOS 10.17.5 is causing the same issue. There are some common pieces between both OS[s] such as device drivers.
Home WiFi spec: WiFi 6

I have no problem with my iPad 7th gen (14.2) and Macbook Pro 2020 (Catalina) that is associated with my iCloud account.

My wife has an iPad mini 4th gen (WiFi model) and iPhone SE 2020 that is associated with her account.
She has an issue that both devices WiFi connectivity is extremely slow after the OS update.
I tried the followings for my wife's devices but no luck.
  • Network reset

  • Disable/Enable Private address

  • Manual DNS configuration

  • Turned off WiFi each device at a time

Those gave some improvements at the very first couple of browsing and it's slow again.

Workaround: Turned off WiFi of the iPhone and the iPad mini is tethered to the iPhone.
It is a little help that she's not streaming to home devices and we're with unlimited data plans.
Hope there is a fix asap and I really don't want to perform factory resets to those devices.

Everything was fine before iOS 14 (and still is for every non-iOS 14 device in this house). I'm not using a VPN, I've tried private address on/off, factory resetting the entire phone and wifi still unpredictably drops with iOS 14.2.

I'm not looking for a haphazard workaround ("use a fixed IP address", "change DHCP settings", "change your DNS", "sit closer to the router", "restart your equipment more often", "make sure you disable 5Ghz", "only use 5Ghz", "try a different router" etc) I'm looking for Apple to take responsibility for their failure and fix it, or at least allow a downgrade to a working iOS 13 in the meantime.

Trouble is... does anyone at Apple even read these discussions? Why care about just 170 or so users out of however many millions?
I have the same issue. I used to “bypass” my Wi-Fi problem by switching to cellular data. However, after the 14.2 I HAVE NO CELLULAR DATA AT ALL. I tried to chat with some Apple agents, but I always end up with nothing since my connection drops every 5 mins or so. I used to have iPhone XS before the iOS 14, and thanks to that wonderful update(s), I have a very expensive iPod Nano now. Thanks Apple!
I am having the same issue. My husband’s iPad on iOS 13 and my Mac have no connectivity problems, but both my iPad and iPhone with iOS 14 don’t load or don’t fully load web pages. They just hang. Is there any way to go back to 13?
This is so so frustrating. Everything in my house works fine except my phone. I JUST got reliable WiFi after a year of not even being able to afford that. I was so excited and happy before the update to finally have WiFi. NOW NOTHING. Apple not every customer is rich. I’m a single mom with two infants and I keep having to pay for my data overage because I can’t use my phone any other way. I REALLY should be getting a refund for those charges APPLE. I’m not going to stop. Maybe try their Twitter, if others see maybe we will get a response and resolution. If there are this many complaints, imagine how many people don’t realize it was the update who RUINED their phone.
Daaaaang i have seven plus and it’s completely useless without wifi, even got a new router but for nought.who’s gonna pay for the data usage?
Just update to iOS 14.2 today.
I got the same proble, and can't get any way to solve this issue.
What I have tried :
  1. Reset Network Settings

  2. Set Private Address to Off

  3. Forget Network and re-join

  4. Hard reset

all above still not fix my problem,
When I restart wifi, then the data will come in several minutes, but after that.... freeze.

any other workaround for this problem ??
YEs! Last update totally jacked my phone. Issues connecting at home and everywhere. Soo frustrating 😕
