App rejected for "misleading users about pricing"

Hello everybody,

I'm fighting almost 3 weeks with one "issue" but still got rejected and support doesn't want to provide more specific information on how to fix this problem. Every time I got the same generic reply like I'm talking with a bot, not a human.

"Guideline 3.1.2 - Business - Payments - Subscriptions

We noticed that one or more of your auto-renewable subscriptions is marketed in a manner that may mislead or confuse users about the subscription terms or pricing.

Specifically, your app offers a free trial or introductory period but does not make it clear that payment will be automatically initiated for the next subscription period.

The billed amount of your auto-renewable subscription is not clearly and conspicuously displayed to the customer.

Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please revise your auto-renewable subscription purchase flow to clearly indicate how long the free trial lasts and the amount that will be billed after the free trial is over.

We tried also to copy the same layout as one game - https://www.dropbox.com/s/hxm4q50a5a604hr/Screenshot%202020-01-02%2018.40.23.png?dl=0 it looks they are approved, but we get still a rejection.

I would be really thankful to get a more specific recommendation on how to fix this problem. We tried almost 7 different layouts.. all have got rejected. (version where is described in button - "continue with 3 days free trial" under that was "then XX$ after trial ends"... nothing works..)

I really don't know how to make it more clear.

If you have any idea where could be a problem, I would be so thankful!!

Have a great day and thanks for the help,

Vladimir.

Never try to copy an existing app. You have no way to know if policies have been updated since that other app was released. Apple has over two million apps in the app store. They can't police them all. Maybe they will pull that other app if it causes problems. Maybe the developer of that other app is having an update rejected for the exact same reason you are being rejected. In these cases, Apple doesn't necessarily pull the old version if it isn't malicious. They just require that future versions comply with current terms.

Also, don't try to explain what your app is doing by referencing some other app. Complains about rejections is one of the most popular topics here in the developer forums. All such complaints look the same. Few have specific details. Those few that do eventually provide meaningful details usually demonstrate that Apple had very good reasons for rejecting the app.

My advice is to avoid trying to copy other people's bad examples. Read the guidelines and try to implement them in a way that complies with both the letter and intent. Maybe it won't look like other apps. Maybe that is a good thing.

Request a phone call to you, this way fastest for you.

Hey John,

Thank you for the useless infomation, you rock.

Hi, I have got the same problem with my app. How were you able to solve it?
