Getting "Invalid toolchain" when doing "Validate App"

Hello, there,

Today after I archived my iOS app and tried to validate it, I got the following error

Invalid Toolchain. Your app was built with an unsupported version of Xcode or SDK. If you plan to submit this build to the App Store, make sure you are using the GM version of Xcode 10.1 and the SDK for iOS 12.1 and watchOS 5.1, Xcode 7.1 and the SDK for tvOS 9, or Xcode 6 and the SDK for macOS 10.9 or later. If you are using an Xcode beta version to test your app, make sure you are using the latest supported version. For more information about supported beta versions, view the App Store Connect What's New page (https://developer.apple.com/app-store-connect/whats-new/).

I am using Xcode 11.2(11B52), macOS Catalina 10.15.1, and from the "System Report", my iOS sdk version is 13.2(17B80). None of which is beta version. Could someone please shed some light, what should I do here?

many thanks,

Ron

Someone knows how to solve it, it is not possible for anyone to send without them taking steps to solve it.

Other than trying 11.2.1, I would guess we wait. Amazing how buggy these latest versions of iOS and XCode have become.

Just adding another data point - same error here. Waiting for official 11.2.1 release before I can validate & distribute my release candidate build.

The validation message stating Xcode 10.1 is required should be treated as a bug and corrected, it's misleading.

Same here. App built with VS 2019, Xamarin.iOS

Fixed!!! Updating XCode to 11.2.1 helped!

Looks like it's possible to download the GM seed version directly through the website https://developer.apple.com/download/

Going to give it a try now and come back with the veredict!

Success! I was now able to upload the app version I wasn't allowed to upload on v11.2

I am still receiving the message with the official release build of Xcode (11.2). What did you use to successfully submit? 11.2.1 GM?

https://developer.apple.com/download/ and download Xcode GM seed 11.2.1

I am in the same boat (wow Apple really has been botching things lately). XCode 11.2.1 does not show up in the app store unless you update to the very latest version of Mojave first. If you try to download it from the appstore by using the link in the developer portal, it will give you an error that there is not enough disk space to install the update (no matter how much disk space you free up, I had 160 something GB). The only remedy was to update Mojave to the latest, then install the new XCode.

Heads up: If you have an Apple Watch App, you may want to check it on the new WatchOS6.1 as well, it completely broke some of our UI for the version that was already released.

The new update from the App Store (11.2.1) solved this issue and I was able to upload a new build without any issues. Even in the Xcode release notes they point out that the UITextView issue has been fixed, seems like this entire issue is now resolved.
