I noticed a few days ago that the Travel cagetory (and probably others) is missing from the Mac App Store. All may apps are in the travel category, and customers can't easily locate them now. Anyone know what's going on? Link to picture below:
Mac App Store missing categories
Been an ongoing problem for awhile. But no resolution to my knowledge - other than having users (and developers) update to the latest OS — Mohave+.
The work around for users of anything earlier is to go to apps.apple.com and search the categories there and then use the online process to acquire or select "View **** in App Store" and they will taken to the category/app in the App Store and be able to complete it there. Which clearly show the information is available, but that its not accessible through the App Store directly.
Seems like a miss in how the App Store is setup that is an accident, but Apple hasn't responded to any reports from users or developers on the topic in more than two years.
