Xcode 12.0.1 won't download watchOS 7.0.1 symbols
Trying to install an app to my Apple Watch, I see: "Unavailable device (no symbols for paired Apple Watch)" ..and: "No debugging symbols are available for the OS version installed on Rob's Apple Watch. Verify that your internet connection is functional, then disconnect and reconnect the companion device to retry downloading symbols." Disconnecting and reconnecting the companion device, I see: "Installing symbols for watchOS 7.0.1 (18R395)" This does not fix the issue Window > Devices and Simulators "Could not download and install Symbols for watchOS 7.0.1 (18R395). Failed to download package from ADC" ...and: "There are no valid accounts registered with Xcode that have the ability to access this resource." Xcode > Preferences > Accounts All seems to be correct Version: Xcode 12.0.1, macOS 10.15.7, iOS 14.0.1, watchOS 7.0.1 Is anyone else seeing this?

Xcode 12.1 cannot install to iOS 14.2
After the macOS 10.15.7 update, Xcode showed "Install Additional Components", so I did that. Now I find that Xcode can't install to iOS 14.2 It says: "{phone} is not available. Please reconnect the device." Tried: Disconnect/reconnect Restart (all devices) Different phone (also iOS 14.2) "Empty the Derived Data" folder I know there is a downloadable Xcode 12.2RC, but I prefer to stick to the App Store version on my main Mac. Apple say: “The term “Release Candidate” (RC) replaces “GM seed” and indicates this version is near final.” "Near" final?! Is there a timing SNAFU here? Surely the release versions should all line up, and work together! Should Xcode 12.2 be available on the App Store, to go with iOS 14.2?

The new iPad Mini (6th generation) introduces a new, smaller(!), screen size?
The new iPad mini looks like a great device, and has a "larger" screen than the previous version (8.3", vs 7.9"). But looking at the actual resolution, we have: • iPad mini 5: 2048 x 1536 • iPad mini 6: 2266 x 1488 That is, the "width" (or "height", in portrait mode) is smaller! Since the iPad was introduced, I've been aiming iPad apps at a minimum dimension of 1536 (actually 768, pre-Retina). Now, that content may not fit! It's not a massive difference, but it could be significant. Do I really have to go back to my apps, and add scrolling, or trim the content? I didn't notice any mention of this during the presentation (which seemed consumer-oriented, rather than developer-oriented). Does anyone else think this could turn out to be a serious issue?

Apple, surely it is possible to block some of these these spam posts?
The spamming of this forum, and the time taken to remove the offending posts, has become ridiculous. Surely some basic level of filtering is already in place? Please also disallow: Any title containing a long (phone) number Any title containing the words "Call" AND "Girls" Rapidly repeated posts by the same user, with very similar titles ...and once the spammers have worked around that, block whatever they come up with next. Is it so hard?

Problem linking to another post on the forum
In answering a question, I'm trying to link to another thread on this forum, that answers the same question. Composing my answer, I'm getting the message: "Please fix the following URL related errors:" "This domain is not a permitted domain on this forums." https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/698055  (It seems that I can post the URL as a code block, as above, but not as a link.) So Apple Developer Forum posts can't be linked, on the Apple Developer Forum?
