Thanks for your reply. With further debugging I was able to isolate the issue. It was no bug with the beta but rather with my model not staying in sync between the main app and the widget. After fixing this my code above worked reliable.

I am running in the same issue. I think you should definitely file a Feedback for this. I'll do the same.

Hi, I was really confused when I tried out my extension with Big Sur Safari and saw that blue tinting. While I think it is really important to indicate activity to the user I think this looks really alien since no other system toolbar icon has this behaviour. While I believe it's too late for the shipping version I would strongly pledge for a reconsideration of this feature.

Worked for me yesterday again. Haven’t tried it today. I assumed it was resolved.
