Hello, I have an app designed and ready to upload to the App Store. Let’s say the name is “MyApp”. When I try to submit it for review, it says “MyApp” is unavailable. However, no matter how hard I search through the App Store, “MyApp” is no where to be found, so how can the name be taken? I found an app called “My App” with a space in the middle of the two words, but none that are exactly my app name. I applied for a trademark for the “MyApp”, but it could take 8 months to get in before I can use it in a dispute with Apples legal team. Anyone have any recommendations? I really don’t want to call the app “My_App” or “My-App”, as it looks terrible. Before I picked this name and did all the graphics design with it, I searched meticulously through the App Store and never found any conflict. I even looked in the USPTO website and there were no trademarks assigned to it. Super annoying…
