Encountered same problem. In the UK Revolut sort code / account number does not match the IBAN (as Revolut not being a bank uses an other bank swift code).
When you actually make a payment you use either one or the other and not both but as per explanation received: Apple's bank need these two to match...
Long story short we needed to find an other bank account to receive money.
Side note : working all fine with Google...
