Reply to Apple Practices Concerning Published Apps and Their Updates
Hi, Thank you for your response. I understand that reviewers make their own judgment and decision and I accept that. I just think that it is not fair towards both developers and users not to allow the developers to update their apps (if it is a minor bug fix, for example), regardless of whether the app was approved by mistake or not. Is it better to make the suboptimal app available on App Store than to allow to fix issues? I should have read the guidelines before submitting the apps because the rejection of the minor updates was the last thing that I expected to happen. Would it be a good analogy to compare this to peer review process of scientific journals? Assume that the paper was accepted and then the researcher prepares the final version with minor errors corrected. Next, the reviewers reject the final version and say that the acceptance of the original was a mistake and the suboptimal original version with errors will be published. Where would be the logic in this? Anyway, as the result of me criticising the process and trying to understand the reasons behind update rejections my account is set to be suspended.
