Allowing customers to pay monthly for a one year subscription and getting them to stick to it
I have seen this asked in the past but want to see if anything has been updated recently. We sell subscriptions that in turn pay our outside partners for example mapping and satellite services. This being similar to a cellular provider, we need to make sure the customer is committed to the full year of service. Like a cellular provider it would be expensive to make you pay for the entire year up front so we would like to allow them to pay monthly. Starting with the primary question. Is there anything if they choose a refund or to break the “contract” (is there a contract option?) to at least stop them from purchasing, cancelling then purchasing again multiple times throughout the year? Example if they do two trips a year and decide to buck the system versus paying the full year amount that we need to provide them this service? Is there something to block them from doing it multiple times in that initial purchase window for that subscription term? We are trying our best to offer our capabilities and their sale “in app” versus taking it outside into our own hands. With Apple recently knocking it down to a 15% take on small businesses...this is fine with us but there are still some things we can’t currently control through their handling... This would be another topic...but in the current age of “influencers”...we love that they started to handle discount codes but we need to be able to also assign personal codes for and to monitor our influencer/ambassadors efforts at pushing these subscriptions as well. Hopefully we will see this soon as well.
