Can I convert my Time Capsule to APFS?

I can select my TimeCapsule in the Disc Utilities Application? I could convert it to APFS. But would this be a good idea? Thing is, APFS is supposed to not support AFP anymore, but as I understand TimeCapsule is using AFP. Or would it work?

Time Machine itself does not support APFS on the destination drives, so regardless of AFP I don't think that you should try and convert the Time Capsule to APFS. But yes, I'm pretty sure AFP just supports SMB anyhow.

alexclst is correct, TimeMachine can't be used with APFS.
