Error when verifying domain: "Requested domain name has been verified previously"

We had previously verified our domain under the wrong Apple account. I removed it from that account, and am now attempting to verify it under the correct account.

On this page: https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/services/configure

I've added the domain to our correct developer account, clicked "Download", uploaded it to the correct location on our server (overwriting the old file), and now I always get this error when clicking verify: "Requested domain name has been verified previously"

I presume this error is because I had previously verified this domain under the other account, but now that I've removed it, I would think that would have been sufficient to allow it to be registered correctly. Has anyone seen this before?

We have the same issue and Apple support doesn't help:

Interesting fact - if you add the domain to the first team, it will be verified already.

Looks like, Apple is keeping this link even after domain removal.

Apple, please help!

PS also it would be nice to mention the fact, that domain can be only associated with one Apple account in help:

Hi, how are you fixed the problem?

Did you ever resolve this?

I have 2 apple developer accounts, and 3 domains that I verified as sign-in-with-apple services on one account and am attempting to move to the other account

I deleted all the services (which according to apple docs should remove the association) from one account

I successfully verified 2 of the domains with the receiving apple developer account, but got this error for the third domain I attempted to verify

I audited the original developer account and it no longer has the services so that should free the domain up for verification, as shown by success with the other 2 domains.

I can verify that if I re-add the domain to the original account it shows up as verified already.

Then if I re-delete the service, I can verify it in the second account.

So perhaps you just need to try again, and Apple's "remove domain association" feature in their back-end code has an error of some kind.

Very strange.

any news?
