I have an Apple Silicon DTK, which I'm trying to get to grips with. I am not a full-time Mac user, and I may well be missing something "obvious". I'm also partially sighted, and find the macOS GUI somewhat baffling, like all other GUIs. I'm currently running an older beta, 20A5299w. The Mac says Beta 10 is available, and offers to download it for me. "SoftwareUpdateNotificationManager" needs to authenticate me, and asks for a password, but doesn't say which password it wants. The Mac is authenticating with LDAP from a Windows Active Directory. So the password I use to log in is one possibility. The other possibility is the password for my Apple ID. I've tried both of these, at least ten times each with considerable care, and it won't take either of them. I don't know of any other relevant passwords except the admin password of the machine, which does not work either. What am I missing?

I have building and testing nicely automated for our main product on iOS with Xcodebuild and shell scripts, and I'm now working on bringing up an add-on for our product. But xcodebuild stops partway through testing that, with:IDETestOperationsObserverDebug: Writing diagnostic log for test session to: /var/folders/...The diagnostic log isn't telling me much, but I am recovering exit status code 65 from xcodebuild. I can't find a list of what those codes mean, although I can find a lot of people asking about them on the Internet without getting answers. Is there a published list anywhere? Thanks in advance,John
