I’m facing repeated rejections under Guideline 1.4.1 for my AI-powered chat app, which Apple claims provides “medical advice or treatment without appropriate regulatory approval.” However, I’m not sure which exact parts of my app are causing these flags.

I’ve already: • Removed any wording that might imply diagnoses or therapy • Added disclaimers in the app and on the App Store listing clarifying that we do NOT provide any medical or mental health services • Requested screenshots or specific details from Apple but received only the same generic response to provide “regulatory clearance”

Has anyone else encountered this situation? If so, how did you get more specific guidance from Apple, or how did you resolve the issue without official medical certifications?

What exactly does your "AI-powered chat app" do? Does it offer medical advice? If so, and you don't have appropriate medical regulatory approval, then that's why you're hitting this issue.

You can say that you don't provide medical services etc., but is that completely true? Does your AI bot thing offer medical advice?

The explanation provided by the app review team for classifying this text as medical advice is as follows: “I hope you’re doing well today. I’m here and ready to listen. If you want to share what’s on your mind, feel free to talk to me.”

I believe this assessment is not only a misunderstanding of the text’s intent but also reflects a lack of good faith in the review process. The text is clearly empathetic and supportive, without providing or implying any form of medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Despite this, the decision feels overly critical and not in line with the actual purpose or content of the app.

I would like to understand how I can escalate this issue or have it reviewed by another reviewer who might provide a more impartial and accurate assessment. It is important to me that this matter is handled fairly, as I strive to comply with all App Store guidelines while delivering value to users.
