Questions about App Review Board

What's the turnaround time for the app review board?

Long story short:

  • Had a feature in for years.
  • App was removed from the store >2 years ago by Apple "feature no longer allowed".
  • Took it out, app back on store.
  • Got bad reviews due to feature removed.
  • About a year ago I see a competitor with the same functionality.
  • Re-add the feature, approved.
  • Multiple subsequent updates approved.
  • About a month ago submitted an update, rejected for the same feature - competitors and others continue to have this function live on the AppStore.
  • Submitted appeal.
  • Waited about 2 weeks and followed up.
  • Feel like I'm getting the run around, dev support suggests I interact with the reviewer that keeps rejecting it.
  • Meanwhile dev cert expired.
  • Re-submitted binary.
  • Rejected again.

Appeal reason was unfair treatment so it does not make much sense to communicate further with the reviewer in question.

Can anyone help us get this sorted out with a conclusive decision from the review board in response to the appeal (in writing) before the end of year shut down please?

Queried for an update through AppStore connect yesterday but unfortunately no response yet. At this stage I just have a reference number and that only came after 'App Review' looked into it. Any chance of getting this resolved soon? Meanwhile in addition to the app I mentioned in the appeal, I've found other apps with similar functions on the Store.
