After updating my phone to iOS 18 I have a Malibu Chevrolet 2019 trying to use CarPlay but it’s not working at all in this update. It was working fine before please help.

Same issue for me for both my cars. VW and Kia. My wife has not yet updated to iOS18 and her phone works perfectly in the car
2016 Mazda CX-5. CarPlay starts but once I try to send a text message or reply to one via Siri I get an error message stating CarPlay no longer available. If I disconnect the phone wait a few seconds and plug it back in it resolves until the next text
Same. 2021 Toyota Highlander hybrid using USB-A to USB-C connection. Worked fine before the update. Now it only shows that it’s charging. Keeps getting error message that usb not found or not connnected? Something like that? I forgot. But CarPlay definitely isn’t working.
I’m having similar issue after updating to the 18.1 developer beta. Now when I plug my phone into my 2020 Hyundai Tucson, the phone just starts charging. Nothing shows up on my cars display. When I go into Carplay in settings on my phone it doesn’t show any available cars. Everything was working fine when I was using the 18.0 developer beta.
Similar issues with 2024 Outback / iPhone 15 Pro using wireless CarPlay… -Maps (google maps) works fine. -During phone calls or Teams meetings the microphone will randomly stop working. Only remedy is to hang up and call back. Did not happen before IOS 18. -Pandora won‘t play or display stations if you start it from the car. Works fine if you open the app on the phone. As in, once you open the app on the phone, the CarPlay screen shows the stations and works as expected.
Very disappointed with this “update” so far.
having the same problem. Carplay is non responsive or only plays out of the 2 front speakers.

2019 Chevy Equinox, since updating To ios18, phone won’t connect through Apple Play and it causes my car display screen to go blank and restart every time. Ive tried all “fixes” I was able to find online. Nothing is working. Please send an update ASAP.
I have the exact same issue on a 2020 Honda CRV. Very frustrating. Rebooted the car's infotainment 2x, re-loaded the phone each time and still, vehicle doesn't show up on carplay. Not had an issue until the ios 18 upgrade. Maybe Cupertino Corporate doesn't recognize Hondas or Hyundais? Apple, please fix this NOW! Thx.
Issue with 2019 Chevy equinox since upgrading to IOS18. Causes screen to go blank and reboot of whole infotainment system. Have tried unpairing And repairing, reset network setting, reset to factory the head unit. Please fix this asap!!
Same problem with Audi S5. I have reset the MMI and the iPhone. Nothing works.
