Unexpected “OTHER” error in CloudKit despite app functioning normally

Hello everyone,

I’ve recently encountered an issue where my app is working perfectly fine, but I’m seeing an “OTHER” error in the CloudKit dashboard under errors. I’ve checked the logs and there doesn’t seem to be any obvious failure or issue affecting the app’s functionality.

The error doesn’t provide much detail, and I’m having trouble identifying the root cause since everything appears to be functioning as expected in the app. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something that could be related to a server-side issue, or am I missing something on my end?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

No insight but just to say I’m seeing the same. My app has been live for sometime and I’ve not pushed any updates for quite a while but suddenly my error logs are filled with “OTHER” errors.

So strange, my app also showed a large increase in Other errors starting in September. There are no logs available for any of these errors, which is also odd.

Have you found any insight into the issue?

Exactly the same here. Slightly different situation though as my app is not yet released but has been in TestFlight beta for a week now. Seeing a large number of OTHER errors (98% of all errors at an overall error rate of 17% vs 1% in development environment) without any noticeable impact visible to testers in terms of proper synchronization. Logs don‘t contain any related entries as well.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have yet to find any root cause for this issue, and as mentioned before, it doesn't seem to affect the app's functionality in any way.

My only concern is whether this could somehow impact the app's ranking on the App Store.

  • Has anyone experienced any ranking-related consequences due to these types of errors?

Thanks in advance!
