Deleting an app fro the App Store so I can use newer version of the same app

App Store Connect is not letting me push updated to my current app in the App Store. The updates are going to TestFlight but not the App Store. I want to delete the entire app and just start new. I want to send the app out for testing as soon as I can but I am being hindered with running into so many problems. If you can help me understand why I can push updates to TestFlight for the same app but these updates don't go to the App Store , I'd be grateful .

I sent a 1.0 version of my app through review but decided it wasn't ready so I rejected it. Now I've upload 1.1 which shows in TestFlight and distributes to testers okay but I don't see it in my apps listing. I wonder why not. And will it inherit all the stuff I put into the 1.0, inclusing screenshots, or do I need to start that over again. I thought 1.1 would just continue from 1.0. How is this supposed to work (this is my first app)?
