Hello everyone! Any tips would be helpful.
I am trying to submit my App for review in the app store, and when I try to subimit screenshots of my app to the App Store 5.5" Display, I get a dimension error. I even tried getting screenshots of all types of iPhones that fit those dimensions from my Simulator on XCode.
These would be iPhone 8 Plus
iPhone 7 Plus
iPhone 6s Plus.
When I take screenshots on the simulator move them to the site, they won't accept them.
Any suggestions?
I use iPhone 8 Plus simulator and it works fine.
So, *** should work with 7+ or 6s+ which have exactly the same screen characteristics.
Sorry for the question: do use generate simulator screen shots with cmd-S ?

What is the actual error text you're receiving? You say it's a "dimension" error, but it's really important to know what the actual error is because it might be saying your images are too large or too small. If they're too large you can simply crop them. If they're too small you could pad them out a little.

Right, and what are the dimensions of your image? The one you posted here is coming up as 1,125 x 2,436, which is clearly not 1,242 x 2,208px.
1,125 x 2,436 is the resolution of an iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS, or iPhone X.
You need to save the screenshots from your iPhone 8 Plus Simulator and confirm the screenshots are 1,242 x 2,208 px.
I think I found the issue. What I thought was an iPhone 8 was really an X because in this image, when you hit iOS 17.5, even if you had picked 8 Plus before, the Device Type automatically changes to X.
Sadly, I am unable to change to a lower iOS version, therefore am unable to select an iPhone 8.
Any thoughts?
If your minimum iOS version is 17 then it won't run on the iPhone 8 Plus.
The fact that App Store Connect is requesting 8+ screenshots for an app that doesn't support it, is a rather annoying bug. Those screenshots will never be seen by anyone, so forcing you to provide them is nonsense. Please raise a Feedback report. I've already done it, but if they get more duplicates it pushes them to fix the bug.
In the meantime, I'd say you're going to have to find the iPhone with the closest resolution, and crop/resize those screenshots.
