Apple won't activate the developer account

Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I paid for a developer account, and I got an email from Apple confirming the payment. It's been over two weeks now (with the three days they said it would take to process), and I still haven't heard back from them. I sent them a support request about a week ago and still no response.

Is this how Apple is always with deadlines? Anyone else run into this problem before, and how did you solve it?
