Advanced Data Protection and iCloud for Windows

I just enrolled in and installed the latest iPadOS, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS, on my devices to use the Advanced Data Protection for iCloud, however when I try to sign in to iCloud for Windows I get a message to update to the latest version of iCloud for Windows. The problem is that when I go to the Microsoft Store to update Icloud I'm told I have the latest version, how do I get the latest version if the official method says I have the latest version?

I'm using WIndows 10 with all the updates.

I have the same question. I'm on Windows 11 and have the latest iCloud for Windows 14.0. iOS tells me I need the latest version of icloud for windows to enable advanced data protection.

I also have the same question. I'm on Windows 11 and have the latest iCloud for Windows according to the Microsoft Store. I am also on the the latest 16.2 beta for iPadOS, iOS, and tvOS, on my devices to use the Advanced Data Protection for iCloud, however when I try to sign in to iCloud for Windows I get a message to update to the latest version of iCloud for Windows.

iCloud for windows has been updated...Not only is it compatible with Advanced Data Protections, there is now the ability to change where "Icloud Drive" files are stored. Sadly you still have to use Symbolic Links for the iCloud Photos folder.

My installation did not update from the Microsoft Store. I was stuck on 13.4. I uninstalled and reinstalled. This gave me 14.1 and Advanced Data Protection was now supported.

Advanced Data Protection is not available in all countries. Apple is aware of the issues caused by the current version of their Windows iCloud app (v14.1) and, I was told, is working on an updated version. Unfortunately, their timeline for the release is anyone's guess!
