Latest App Review takes forever

Sent an app for a review at July 7, got rejected by a reviewer asking me to clarify usage of my app (while the description field for a reviewer clearly answers this questions). Answered those questions and since July 9 there were absolutely no activity at all.

We've been waiting till July 20 and decided to developer reject and send a new release for a review, since new features were ready. And since then until now the status is "in review". It's been 2 months of silence already and we're unable to do anything.

Sent a request to support, got a response that the app needs more efforts to be in review. Tried to request an expedited review - and still no success, I got an answer email with nearly the same content: "occasionally we encounter circumstances that require additional review time". What are the circumstances and how can we help with it? No idea.

For about 7 years of this app it is the first time we've been facing with such a long review time. Usually it was not more than a 3-4 days.

Is it me only, or somebody else having issues with long review?

Our app is under review since Aug 26! it took more than usual!

We've consistently been experiencing review times taking excessively long time recently where as colleagues see an app go through review within 1 hour. Our latest submitted update was rejected, then we replied with requested information but there's been no reply since Monday last week. We then requested expedited review Sunday midday, which was confirmed and accepted in the evening but lo and behold... we're still waiting and our deadline was this morning. To say it's frustrating is an understatement.

Meanwhile our colleagues in Google land had their app processed and rejected within hours and after explaining the usage of the new feature, got through review and released soon after.

Оur app (id 1566122910), cumulatively is "In-Review" for more than 2 months without any comments from Apple. Once in the middle of this period we have been asked for infomation about account deletion process, we provided information in a few hours, and stucked In review status again @Andreas @AppReview please tell us what's going on.
