Metadata rejection

Why does app keep getting rejected every time a new build is submitted for review? All the sections for metadata have been filled out and all the questions answered about data privacy. What are we missing?

These are the questions the reviewer always asks:

• Does your app include third-party analytics? If so, please provide details about what data is collected for this purpose.

• Does your app include third-party advertising? If so, please provide a link to the ad network's publicly-documented practices and policies for kids apps.

• Will the data be shared with any third parties? If so, for what purposes and where will this information be stored?

• Is your app collecting any user or device data for purposes beyond third-party analytics or third-party advertising? If so, please provide a complete and clear explanation of all planned uses of this data.

How could we know without seeing exactly what you provided. You think you provided all, that's not the reviewer opinion.

It seems the reviewer has found you use third party libraries (which) and is concerned about them. Up to you to prove it is harmless, by providing detailed and convincing answers to all the questions.

There is little we can do on the forum.

Note: why did you tag your question as Natural Language ?

  • There are specific questions that need to be answered as part of the app review process, these questions include the same questions being asking again. The app does not contain any third party libraries. The app has been in the app store for years with only updates to fix issues and keep up to date with iOS changes. They only started asking these questions on the last few updates.

  • That's not because they did not raise question before they will not raise them now. may be they should have raised in the past. In your situation, I would explain I'm not using any third party library. Do you include advertising in your app ? That could be the cause of concern.

  • Forgot to add that the reviewer request states this:

"Since your App Store Connect status is Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary. To revise the metadata, visit App Store Connect to select your app and revise the desired metadata values. Once you’ve completed all changes, reply to this message in Resolution Center and we will continue the review."

The app has all the metadata sections filled out, there are no empty sections. So my question still remains, what are we missing?
