I just noticed this morning that I am having Magic Keyboard issues. I have iPad pro 11 and about 3 month old keyboard. This just started when I downloaded 15.1 on iPad. When I try and type keys, nothing happens. Eventually it wakes up but who wants to wait couple of minutes
The same happens to me, but In 5 days that I’ve had th;e update my Magic Keyboard doesn’t not work specially The space bar
Seeing the same thing with my USB Keyboard after installing 15.1.
Keyboard commands like Show Dock work, but at times I can’t input text such as on this forum text box.
Same… almost word for word. I was going to take it in to my local Apple Store. But I am glad I did a search first.
Same issues with same ipad...its weird. Sometimes it will stop working but if on the screen i bring up the virtual keyboard, then the magic keyboard will then immediately start working. Then sometimes it will say "accessory not recognized" requiring me to detach and reconnect.
It seems to be a software issues...hopefully apple recognizes it...and is reading this.
I'm experiencing the same problem on iPadOS 15.1 with Logitech Combo Touch cover-keyboard. At first, I was under impression that it is bug of Logitech product. Then I visited retail store where I purchased my keyboard. Together with wih sales rep we tested several similar keyboards including original Apple Magic keyboard - all of them had the same issue. So I guess it is an issue of iPadOS 15.1
Ditto. iPad Pro 13 3rd Gen. Smart Keyboard Folio only works on certain functions. For example, works in Safari but not in iMessage.
I do have some problems with Ipad Os 15.1, especially - The Magic Keyboard It both 2021 version and thing start to happen when i finished updating the Ipad Os 15.1.
My Youtube app can no longer forward/backward by using the right/left button (->, <-), it also happens with Netflix app. It kinda annoying somehow. My Messenger app is next, return (enter) button now creat a new line of word instead of sending the message. I do noticed since the update fully set up, my Ipad dont work properly. Weird.
Hopefully Apple will fix this soon.
iOS15.1 for iPad has been a total PITA. Magic Keyboard now requires having to toggle Full Keyboard under Settings/Accessibility depending on what app/website is being used is getting beyond old. And don’t get me started on the United Airlines app becoming non-functional. And that’s just what I’m aware of so far.
C’mon people in Cupertino, get with the program and fix these issues!!
Same issue with Logitech keyboard. All was fine until the 15.1 upgrade. I'm also seen a shadow box after I close a tab. It goes away but annoying
After uploading 15.1, both of my brand new Zagg keyboards are having the same issues described above, blue tooth disconnection, type delays or just not completing words or sentences, shadow boxing, etc. Both are unusable. I have never had a problem with this before. I don't see any answers. Wondering if you can go back to an older version of ios. I use my iPad as a computer and it is impossible with this update.
