I have been unable to add the Organization ID in the app store connect under App Distribution Method - Private. It has been constantly giving messages "The Organization ID or Apple ID you entered could not be found. Try again." Have contacted Apple Support who reply with a standard copy-paste message that "try later as our engineers are aware of this problem".
Has anyone come across this.

We are having the same issue. Cannot add the Organization ID to distribute app to a business.
It seems the issue has been resolved by the Apple Engineers. A big thanks to them. I was able to assign the Organisation ID for the custom app.
I had the same problem here and after a looong time trying to figure out what was happening, I found someone saying you should put the organization ID and the organization name with the exact business account name and it worked for me. So, check if the organization name is the same as the business account and see if it works!
